Obama Hits McCain Over Zapatero Gaffe, Compares Him To Cheney
In an interview with the same Miami radio station that elicited the now-notorious McCain Zapatero flub, Obama hits McCain for refusing to say whether he'd meet with the Spanish prime minister.
The key moment comes around two-thirds of the way in. Asked if he'd meet with Zapatero, Obama said:
"Of course. Spain is a NATO ally, and the fact that Senator McCain indicated that he might not meet with Zapatero I think indicates that he wants to continue the Cheney policies of trying to dictate American foreign policy instead of trying to build cooperation. I think that's a mistake."

Finally! the dems are pounding McCain on his stupid gaffe.

I see a pattern here. Monday morning the Obama folks have all these ads ready to roll!
Yay TEAM OBAMA!

It's refreshing to have a candidate who actually sounds like he truly understands what he's talking about.
Every time Obama makes statements that sound expert and rational, it makes McCain's statements sound more and more like the canned drivel they are.

So Obama should be able to trounce McLame in the debates. (Bet the media will spin it as a "tie", though.)

Yes, Obama will win the debate on substance and style, but that won't matter to McCain's supporters. And yes the media will spin it to suit their own purposes, probably a "tie".

Now Obama is hitting McCain on a whole slew of different fronts: economy, foregin policy, abortion, advisors who are lobbyists. The collective consciousness that is the McCain camp must be spinning out of control.

They need something in their inbox every morning, they've taught us all that. Otherwise they're writing ads about Obama as child molester, etc.
The papers say these are now all Bush people running the show (making "McSame not just an idea but objective reality). They can't be used to the rapid-fire ubiquitous incoming you describe.

Well, as a NATO ally head of government, it would be *polite* certainly for the U.S. Pres. to agree to meet with Zapatero. Legally our Commander-in-Chief's only obligation is to defend Spain in war, not meet its shifty-eyed Prime Minister.
Our Pres. could crudely tell the allied PM to sit on a peg and rotate and not break any laws, but that would be what they call "impolitic" in the diplomatic game. So you can kinda see Senator Obama's point.

I like the result of this story - everyone including George Will saying: "HUUUUH?"
Now McLame's age and mental abilities are in question.

As is, according to Will, "his personality."

Indeed Tena, a serious and massive push needs to be made on the age, health - mental and physical, and moral credibility issues. Who will be the prophet crying in the wilderness on this one ? Now is not too soon to start. Perhaps reserving a bed in a sun belt assisted living facility would be a good idea as well.

I continue to be amazed by the way Team Obama paces this campaign. I never feel a sense of panic, and I honestly believe there's an overall strategy that involves something more than the defensiveness of Democratic candidates during the last two presidential cycles.
Truly wonderful to behold.

Or rather 'Don't Stop.' The last thing we need, worse even than a McCain presidency, is an Obama Administration that ceases to be or fails to deliver what the Obama Campaign has promised for the last 18 months.

I think it's very smart of him to go with the "McCain knew what he was being asked! That's exactly what he meant to say!" line. If you attack him that way, McCain's kind of caged in. What can he do now? "Oh, no, sorry, my campaign lied, I just wasn't listening?"

"If you attack him that way, McCain's kind of caged in"
Precisely Rorgg!
Besides trying to attack his mental facilities, is like spitting in the wind...when we all know he had no idea who the Zap-man is...he's probably still waiting for the Asnar name to ring a bell.
They will lie to cover the Ambien lapses or whatever the hell is causing his deficiencies, hell personally I think he's just not smart, or curious...let's all be honest here...he's skated for the most part the last 26 to 40 years of his life (save the imprisonment of course). If any other politicians would have made the number of gaffes he's made they'd be practically finished.

Regardless of what is written about Obama doesn’t mean it is true. What is true is “what comes out of the mouth the heart is full of” and we hear what Obama says and we can judge his heart accordingly.
Our biggest problem now aside from energy is terrorism (if we fix our energy we fix the economy) and there’s two ways to address terror, offensively or defensively. Both face the same tossup war or peace. Education is the key, why radical Islam hates us. Talking and listening with our enemies and allies spending money on the schools that will prevent the teaching of radical Islam and at the same time be sensitive to the ancient customs of the Arab nations and leave diversity the role it needs to play. I am an American that lived in Israel ten years near a Arab neighborhood (Bethlehem) and I know how Arab-Israeli (Arabs that were born in Israel) and Palestinians (Arabs who were born outside usually Jordan) and have an understanding how both think. The more violence we will use against this Holy War, the more they are given the right to use terror.
We need a president who understands this. Obama is a man who does.

John McCain's "opinions" are handed to him several times a day on a sheet of paper. John McCain is a clueless stooge. A hand puppet for the corporate lobbyists who own him.
