Elizabeth Dole Calls Opponent A Yapping Dog, And Other Wacky Ads
Here's some comic relief while you're waiting for the Republican Convention programming tonight: Some wacky down-ticket ads.
First up is this spot from GOP Senator Elizabeth Dole, who is in a close race with Democrat Kay Hagan in recent polls. Her new ad fires back at Hagan's attacks -- by calling Hagan a yapping little dog:
"So bark away, fibber Kay," the announcer says. "That dog don't hunt."
Check out some more interesting ads after the jump.
Here's a DSCC ad running against GOP Senator Gordon Smith of Oregon, in which a woman isn't just deciding to vote against him, she's dumping him:
"This relationship with Gordon Smith," the woman says, "it just isn't working for me."
Here's an ad from Jeanne Shaheen in the New Hampshire Senate race, with a look-alike of Republican incumbent John Sununu digging a massive hole in the ground, representing what GOP rule has done to the country:
And Paris Hilton's name is coming up in politics yet again. Here's a really funny ad from Nick Leibham, the Democrat running against GOP Rep. Brian Bilbray in a deep-red California district:
"What do Paris Hilton and Brian Bilbray have in common?" the announcer asks. "Well, they both do -- nothing."
It should be noted that this ad's central claim just isn't true. Paris Hilton has formulated a comprehensive energy plan for the American people.

the yapping dog was on last night -
the pit bull with lipstick -
quick where is the dog catcher and a secure kennel. If the media don't claim it after three days it gets put to sleep

I'm pretty sure ol' Bob's beyond the Viagra stage by now--at least as far as Libby's concerned.
