RNC's Clock On Obama's Iraq Trip Is Wrong By Over 900 Days

In yet another piece of evidence that the GOP really needs to get its online act together, the RNC's Web site still has their counter of how long it's supposedly been since Barack Obama went to Iraq, going all the way back to January 2006:

Um, the correct answer is more like four days.

It's the Keystone Repuglicans instead of the Keystone Kops - I've never seen such a series of fuck ups.

Great point - I was just writing about this, how the idea that McCain is the "competent, safe" choice needs to end now:

Oh come on, you can't expect the GOP to be able to count, they can barely talk!

Kind of helps to explain how they think they're going to balance the budget in 4 years while cutting taxes for the rich and increasing spending.

Excellent post, Eric. Just goes to show how useless the crawler/footer sections of the cable news shows are, especially on Fox News. They're like Colbert's "Word" text, revealing the unconscious (or is it the Id?) of the tv news editor.

Gee, how many days has it been since Senator McCain has been to Iraq? Senator?

The DNC should put a clock on their website, ahaha!

"The DNC should put a clock on their website, ahaha!"

Thats a great idea ChronoSpark, but they should put up a stop clock that shows how long its been since John McCain's last foreign policy gaffe.

They could never keep up if they tried to run a clock on McLame's gaffes.

Well what they could do is create a clock that says how long since McCain DIDN'T have a gaffe

I love it. I bet McCain couldn't last more than a week.

Something like this - http://www.nasa.gov/centers/langley/images/content/219568main_safety516.jpg - but you're right that it might need to be more precise than days to work for McCain.

Eric, you so naughty you. Tee hee.

I tried to find a McCain house party near me, but alas there weren't any. Should I host one, just so they don't feel so lonely?

That is what happens when you have a bunch of lobbyists running the RNC and McShame's campaign.

That is predictable...

But you gotta love that ALL the pictures on their home page are of Barack Obama! What does that say?

Here is a list of contacts for the GOP. I emailed them and requested they change their site. I suggest you do the same. Should be fun to see if we get a response:

Chairman@gop.com,
Administration@gop.com,
Counsel@gop.com,
Finance@gop.com,
MemberRelations@gop.com,
ecampaign@gop.com,
Membershipservices@gop.com,
RNCommunications@gop.com,
Info@gop.com

They've changed it. The slimeballs simply changed the wording to 925 days BETWEEN visits to Iraq.

I wonder how many GOP Senators have a similar or larger such time gap?

I like how they have used a nice bright upward looking pic of McLame and and shadowy over the shoulder sneaky pic of Obama, weasels.

That whole strategy of making such a big deal about Obama not having been to Iraq worked out really well, didn't it? And now they whine about the press coverage that they helped inspire.

i thought my math was bad! lol
