Obama Camp Installs Another Hillary Operative In Key Ohio Slot
Attention, junkies -- time for some more staff notes!
The Obama campaign has installed another Hillary operative in a key slot in a crucial swing state: Jackie Bray, who was deputy field director for Hillary in Ohio during the primary, is now taking over field operations for Obama in that state.
Obama spokesperson Josh Earnest confirms the hire to me. Bray is the third Hillary operative the Obama campaign has hired, coming aboard after Hillary campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle and former Hillary spokesperson Isaac Baker, who was hired as Obama's Ohio communications director.
Hillary beat Obama in Ohio by 10 points, so it's a natural for the Obama team to sign Bray up for such a key post in such an important battleground.

This smells ominous.
If Ohio is important to winning the election.
I predict Obama will not win the state with Hill operatives in place they will sabotage his chances, in hopes of running HRC in 2012.

I agree with Greg. I these operative turn out to be backstabbers, their reputations will be destroyed.
It's Obama's party now and everybody knows it. Even the Clintons.

Avoid the noid...
It's Unity time, baby. We're united, as a party, behind Barack Obama. There is only one campaign now. We will be victorious in November with Barack as our standard bearer and Hillary Clinton will go on to have a lengthy, distinguished, and remarkable career in the U.S. Senate.

Sorry Greg, but Jackie Bray is no "pro" rather the most incompetent operative ever. This is the same woman who ran youth voter turnout in Ohio for John Kerry. How'd that turn out? This is the same woman who was Field Director for Lois Murphy in 2006, when she lost, despite being one of the top targeted candidates that cycle. Meanwhile, Joe Sestak, Patrick Murphy, Jason Altmire and Chris Carney all won their, originally thought to be, long shot bids. Ask any of her staffers, of whom I dealt with frequently, and this woman is a total and utter failure.
That Hillary hired people like this is no surprise. That Obama is just further goes to my disenchantment with him. My friends, thats not change you can believe in. That's promotion of the same failed operatives further up the ladder. It'd be like hiring Scott Norwood to exclusively kick in the Super Bowl. What is wrong with this party?

Andrew T. Fagan, you have no idea what you're talking about. Jackie Bray is one of the most astonishingly competent people willing to grace the field of mainstream politics working today. She was one of the architects of the University of Michigan's affirmative action win and is known throughout activist communities as a prodigiously talented organizer. I worked with her on Lois Murphy--by the way, your ignorance of the causes of that loss is embarassing. She was extraordinarily talented, hard-working and capable, and all the staff I knew trusted, respected and loved her.
In investigating your appalling attack, I read your blog and was struck by the sexist, antifeminist hatefulness littering your purportedly radical worldview. Since you seem to be spending most of the day in the armchair anyway seeking intellectual asylum like a "refugee," this "fat chick" recommends you spend a little time thinking about just what bothers you and your friends so much about a powerful, effective woman like Jackie.

To the person slamming Jackie Bray. I just have to say that you don't know what your talking about. She was a great organizer in Ohio. The 2004 Ohio youth turnout was high and very pro-Kerry.
