Here are my two newest paranoid theories: 1. Clearly, those comments promise a floor fight (and all the way in between then and now) at the Convention. 2. If the SuperDels finally get off their cowardly butts and literally squash that argument, guess who is going to be John McCain's running mate?

Here are excerpts from John McCain's speech tonight. "Hillary's my friend." "Everyone knows my record (though you're only starting to learn Obama's) and know that I seek solutions from all parts of our party, have even worked out solutions with the other party, and sometimes gone for the solutions that have gone against my interests."

Those "friends" might very well have worked out a little Faustian bargain a long, long time ago. it would help to explain two Democrats spending nearly two months claiming that she and the Republican have the requisite experience, but not the fellow Democrat, poisoning the well-spring of her own supporters to the point that the numbers of supporters crept ever higher over these last three months in claiming "If Obama wins, I'm voting McCain!"

First it was a negligible 10-12%, then 15, the 20, then 30, then (at one point) 55 or 60%.

And what a unity ticket that would be -- especially to the unreliable Blue Dogs and the Right-leaning independents -- Right?

She's going to hang in there because something BIG could happen, indeed.

That would be an interesting twister sucking our farm house into the sky, and our little dog Toto too.

Casey, understand that I thought Hillary was a good candidate for president at one point. I forgave her the vote granting Bush the support he requested in dealing with Iraq, though I disagreed with her...it really was the mood of the nation. I thought she would be the hope of the Democratic Party. And though I chose to back Obama rather early in the process, I held no ill feelings for her whatsoever.

Then came South Carolina. Then came the attacks over heathcare policy, when the differences were minimal. Then flag pins. Then Rev. Wright. Then saying McCain was more qualified. Then Gas Tax holidays. Then the popular vote, and Michigan and Florida. Then sexism. Then Denver! Denver! Then "I'm not making any decision."

Don't get on your soap box with us, you snotty bastard. Obama has taken the highground, and Hillary has not. Fuck you, vote McCain for all I care. Just get the hell off our blog.

I thought that was HUGELY unfortunate language. She sided with Bush all along in "staying the course" in Iraq, and now she thinks it's cute and charming to use that language regarding her own failed mission? Instead, her use of language is cutesily disgusting and cutesily reprehensible.

It just highlights how clueless and backward and reactionary her own stands and beliefs are.

And she has to do with George W. Bush-style smarm and self-congratulation.

She may have intended to concede tonight, but I really think she cannot say the words. I fear she's going round the bend. I'd put her on suicide watch.
