Democratic National Committee Swings Behind Obama, Declares Him Nominee
There's something about the new front page of the Democratic National Committee's Web site that suggests that maybe, just maybe, the DNC is now fully behind Barack Obama as the party's nominee.

Hard to miss the "thank you, Hillary" -- a declaration from Party Central HQ that this is over.

I've been hearing Hillary and Co. discussing that she is considering "how" she is going to direct "her" 17+ million voters.
Senator Clinton, I have a news flash for you: They each gave you a single vote in the primary. They didn't give you the permanent right to control all future votes.
Future President Obama has been more than gracious in the face of all your antics, old and new, but it's time for you to find some grace and decency yourself, congratulate our Democratic nominee, and get behind him 100%.
PEACE

I think this is wrong. Trust me, I have been just as frustrated with Hillary Clinton, if not moreso, as your average Obama supporter. But I don't think "go away" is the right attitude. She needs to be out there talking to her supporters, convincing them that their votes need to go to Obama, not McCain, and we need to welcome her in that role, should she choose to accept it.
June 4, 2008 5:38 PM | Reply | Permalink
She won't do it though. Obviously. That's why she needs to just go away.

Part two of the post-Ohio HRC campaign game plan is practically dead (Part one, being, winning the nomination).
Now, all that is left, is 2012, by further trying to damage Obama's GE chances. Let's not put it past the HRC campaign.
In the meantime, the Democrats are moving on to being all the more unified.

OK Folks:
It is now time to close the book on Hillary.
Let us concentrate all our fire power on McCain.
Start with this:
"During his press conference today in Baton Rouge, John McCain declared in strong terms that he's voted for every investigation of Hurricane Katrina.
The only problem, as the DNC has been pointing out to reporters, is he voted twice against Democratic proposals to investigate the levee failures."
Let us keep it simple.
Treat McCain like he would treat his opponent. He did not forget. He flat out lied.
McCain is as big a liar as Hillary was about Tuzla.
Keep pointing out that he is completely untrustworthy. He is a liar. You have the proof. Spread the word. Drive up his negatives. McCain can not be trusted to level with the American people.
What else has he being lying about.
Spread the word. McCain can not be trusted.

At Noquarterusa, Larry Johnson's site, they've totally lost their marbles breathlessly awaiting the Michelle Obama tape that supposedly shows her ranting at a RAINBOW/PUSH meeting about killing "whitey". Crazy Larry has promised more but all he has is rumors he's ping ponging with another blogger
to mislead his desperate hold outs. This rant supposedly happened in the midst of Barack's run for senate in 2004 about a month before he made the keynote speech at the Dem convention. In a public forum.
That and they're all hoping Hillary will make an independent run.

We must not give him the benefit of the doubt. He is the Republican's pick. He is a willful liar. Let us hammer home that message. If we go into the senior moments type of message it will backfire on us.
Mr. McCain is as sharp as a tack, and he just flat out lied. He can not be trusted. We have the proof. Let us not get sidetracked with making excuses for him. That dilutes our message.

The Clinton Campaign is outraged that Hillary's picture is smaller than Obama's. Sexism. Blatant sexism. The Clinton Campaign is insisting that Obama reject and denounce the Democratic National Committee for this sexist and ageist slur. Bill is livid. It only makes Hillary angry. She is not giving up. She will never give up. She will be the President of the United States. Why? Because her 18 million voters haved demanded through an internet poll at HillaryClinton.com that she never give up fighting for the "invisible people" and demanding the nomination that is rightfully hers.

McCain Myth Buster: John McCain and The Truth
http://democrats.org/a/2008/06/mccain_myth_bus_70.php
Go to the link to ready the entire listings of McCain blatant lies. Now we have him adding to the list today, with his lies about his votes against Katrina bills. McCain is a serial liar. He is too untrustworthy for to be our next President. That is unless you loved all the lies that Bush/Cheney fed you.
Excerpt:
John McCain has worked hard to portray himself as someone who is not your typical politician, but rather a maverick who can admit when he's wrong. Yet last week we saw the lengths he and his campaign will go to cover up misstatements he made about the facts on the ground in Iraq. After inaccurately stating that U.S. troops were "drawn down to pre-surge levels," McCain refused to admit his error and claimed what he said was "just facts." Likewise, his campaign went into Washington spin-mode, organizing a last minute conference call where McCain advisor Randy Scheunemann said that McCain's mistake was an issue of "semantics" and that "[w]e are talking about a verb tense." But no one was buying it. One reporter wrote that "the attempt by the McCain media machine to spin the mistake as a simple matter of 'verb tenses' is an insult to our intelligence." To my fellow Obama-supporters:
We won. No matter how much the Clinton supporters post on here that Obama will lose, or vote McCain, or stay home, or call him names...let's be honest and admit that many of us would feel the same way had Hillary won the nomination. Her winning this thing was a real possibility. And had she been the nominee, we would have wanted to be nasty about it too.
So let them have their say. Barack Obama sets a good example in avoiding nastiness. If some want to lower themselves and stay bitter, let them do it.
We have a McBush who needs an ass kicking.

No, if Hillary had actually won the nomination by winning pledged delegates running a good campaign, I wouldn't feel the same way. I'd vote for her.
But if she had won by strong-arming the superdelegates (the way she's trying to strong arm her way to the VP slot), THEN I'd consider staying home or voting for McCain - not out of spite, but because the Democratic Party would have sold its soul, IMO, and would benefit from time in the wilderness.
Thank Zeus I didn't have to ponder that choice.

Now that such tactics have blown up in her face, I feel we did not give our hero enough credit for being able to overcome. He truly has shown he has what it takes with an organization that beat the Clinton Machine BY THE RULES! Did anyone see that piece on Nightline on his campaign headquarters?
