Poll: Democrat Ahead In Louisiana Special Election

A new SurveyUSA poll in Louisiana shows Democrats on track to win this Saturday's special election to fill the vacancy of former Rep. Richard Baker (R), who resigned in February to become a lobbyist.

The poll shows conservative Democrat Don Cazayoux with 50% support, with 41% for GOP candidate Woody Jenkins, a longtime controversial fixture in Louisiana politics.

This seat has not been held by a Democrat since the 1970s, and the district voted 59% for President Bush in 2004, so a Dem win here would be big news indeed.

Go Cashew!!!

As we all know, this is a Democratic year....Now if Hillary would just stop her Death March to Denver, we could focus on beating the piss out of old man McCain.

Or, alternatively, The Dear Leader and all his little 'bots can beam up to the Mother Ship and zoom back that insular little parallel universe of theirs.

Worth noting, too, that this is one of the contests where Republicans are trying to bring the Democrat down by associating him with Obama (and Pelosi) in TV ads. This doesn't say much about the effectiveness of that tactic.

I certainly hope so.
We have close to zero representation here in south LA. Not even conservatives are representing us in our post storm time of need.

David Vitter- *prostitutes folks, prostitutes"
Dollar Bill Jefferson -Like he has any power...
Bobby J-hole Jindal's seat - Vacated
Richard Baker's seat- Vacated (Go Cazayoux!)

To whom shall I express my grievances?

Louisiana sounds a lot like the FEC.

"resigned in February to become a lobbyist."

from the frying pan into the fire...
