Obama's Super-Delegates Keep On Coming
Barack Obama is piling up more super-delegates this afternoon, putting him on pace to overtake Hillary Clinton very soon in all counts:
• The campaign has announced via press release the endorsement of Congresswoman Mazie Hirono of Hawaii.
• New Mexico add-on super-del Laurie Weahkee, who was selected as an uncommitted super, has announced for Obama.
• The Obama campaign has announced the support of South Carolina state party vice chair Wilber Lee Jeffcoat.
• California DNC member Vernon Watkins has endorsed Obama, saying simply: "The election is over, everybody knows that. Obama has won."
The score so far today: Obama +8, Clinton net +0. Obama is roughly 160 delegates overall from securing the nomination.

I also think that they were waiting to see the "kindler, gentler" Clinton (which her campaign promised would happen if she stayed in) - now that she's decided to send the race-baiting dog whistles to WV and Kentucky they are done with her.

Hillary Billary is accelerating her demise with her nuke Iran statements and veiled racial utterances about white voter electabilities. The superdelegates are not stupid but she sure is-certainly at this point. Oh, how desperate she has become right at the end of the game. She has made a sloppy mess of her end game and it shows. Everything is turning towards Obama's favor.

I guess this might silence the "Where's the deluge" chatter starting to permeate MSNBC.
And for those of you, who, like me, dislike Lanny Davis and his comments on CNN, he was apparently fed up with CNN's coverage Tuesday, and told the political director that he will no longer appear on the network during political coverage (Larry King is still A-OK in Lanny's book, apparently).

Don't worry, the bitter-enders will then scream the superdelegates are not letting the voters decide and are 'disenfranchising' the remaining states and territories.
Not enough SDs in a flood for Obama... Obama not closing the deal.
A real flood of SDs for Obama... SDs are throwing the nomination to Obama.

And do you have it on good authority that neither Hill or Bill are bribing supers?

I think GL would agree with me - If I can't have an HRC (Hilary Clinton) nominate - I won't have any at all.
Seriously - the idea of a presidential nominee who's won more states, more elected delegates, more popular votes is EXACTLY the kind of thing we don't want in America - which is why HRC should get the nod (nomination).
Gotalife - can I get a witness?

But you're totally right. Nothing of substance beyond all those pesky accomplishments.

Well I appreciate that Obama waited until today to see how Hillary would respond to her obvious defeat on Tuesday. She decided to attaack the presumptive nominee for President... and it is time for Obama to push her out and shut the door.
He tried to let her exit in a noble and classy way. But that would be SO un-Clinton.
Good for Obama..... And the rush to Obama begins.

I've said before I thought the only thing holding the SD's back was the big money Clinton supporters who threw a hissy fit every time one of the party leaders suggested the SD's should start to announce. No it wouldn't. She has neither the skills nor the seniority required.

No.
The Majority leader can decide what legislation sees the floor to get voted on.
The last thing a Progressive President needs is someone as tied to special interests as Sen. Clinton deciding what the Senate votes on.
I can vote for her for VP, she'd be a great Gov. of NY. She might make a good SCOTUS Justice.
I want Barbara Boxer or Russ Feingold as Majority Leader
