Obama's Super-Delegates Keep On Coming
Barack Obama is piling up more super-delegates this afternoon, putting him on pace to overtake Hillary Clinton very soon in all counts:
• The campaign has announced via press release the endorsement of Congresswoman Mazie Hirono of Hawaii.
• New Mexico add-on super-del Laurie Weahkee, who was selected as an uncommitted super, has announced for Obama.
• The Obama campaign has announced the support of South Carolina state party vice chair Wilber Lee Jeffcoat.
• California DNC member Vernon Watkins has endorsed Obama, saying simply: "The election is over, everybody knows that. Obama has won."
The score so far today: Obama +8, Clinton net +0. Obama is roughly 160 delegates overall from securing the nomination.

It's starting to become a deluge. What happened - the PowerPoint presentation didn't work? ;)

And for those of you, who, like me, dislike Lanny Davis and his comments on CNN, he was apparently fed up with CNN's coverage Tuesday, and told the political director that he will no longer appear on the network during political coverage (Larry King is still A-OK in Lanny's book, apparently).

We have all become familiar with Senator Obama’s new brand of politics. First, you demand civility from your opponent, then you attack her, distort her record and send out surrogates to question her integrity. It is called hypocrisy, and it is the oldest kind of politics there is. Obama and his supporters have made clear that ANY criticism on ANY issue — from his voting for Dick Cheney's Energy Bill, to his radical plans to sit down face-to-face with Iranian President Ahmadinejad – constitute negative, personal attacks.
Disagree with Obama or his supporters on any issue and you are deemed a racist if you are white, or an Uncle Tom if you are Black.
Obama has his surrogates call his opponent a F*cking Wh*re and suggest she taken in a back room and killed. Obama supporters have won the nastiest people in the history of the blogosphere award. The campaign slogans talk about "Hope" and "Change" well I hope Obama crashes and burns and his campaign has changed me from a Democrat to an Independent.
May 9, 2008 4:18 PM | Reply | Permalink
Effective use of the copy and paste function from McCain's campaign PR. You are skilled. You also make a very compelling argument about why you left the Democratic party.
May 9, 2008 4:23 PM | Reply | Permalink
Oh my God! An American who has the balls to talk to Ahmadinejad! How radical! He might just be too progressive. I'll bet he would hire people based upon their ability to do a job, rather than whether or not they gave his bundlers some money! We can't have that! He might not sufficiently politicize the intelligence-gathering process...
Blank, I think I speak for a lot of true Democrats when I say this: If that's the way you view the world, then we're happy to waive the exit interview requirement. Here's your exemption form, stamped and signed. God bless you. Get out.
