Obama Campaign Seeking Staff For General Election
Help wanted...
The primary may not be over yet (officially), but the Obama campaign is seeking to staff up for the general election. Here's an email, forwarded our way by a source, that was sent out by Obama spokesperson Dan Pfeiffer, soliciting resumes for communications staff for the general:

Subject: Resumes and Recommendations
While Barack continues to campaign hard in the upcoming primary states, we have begun collecting resumes for communications staff for the general election. Pls send resumes of friends and colleagues who you would recommend to become part of our organization either in Chicago or in a state to XXXXXX.Thanks,

Contacted for comment, Pfeiffer IMed us this:
We are continuing to compete for every vote and delegate, but we are also preparing for a general election that is right around the corner.

As I understand it, TPM was provided with a copy of the e-mail, from a recipient, that the Obama campaign sent out requesting resume submissions. They did not contact TPM about the subject, or request their help.

The thing you seem to overlook, gotnolife, is that even if you don't personally like him, there isn't a viable Democratic alternative to Obama outside of Edwards.
I mean, all the other candidates are either too small, or have basically trashed their reps and ruined any cred them might once have had within the Democratic Party.
The great majority of the general public does not trust that other candidate... and it would've gotten even worse throughout the upcoming presidential elections.

See, thing about West Virgina is it's not a big state. Not a big state at all. Quite a small state in fact. A state, that is to day, that once upon a time didn't count in Hillaryland. Now, however, she, and you, latch onto her possible dozen delegate net like its the Holy Frakkin Grail. Its just plain sad.
