Hillary Camp: Obama's "Plan" To Declare Victory Is Insult To Her "17 Million Supporters"

The Hillary campaign sends out a memo hitting Obama for allegedly planning to declare victory tomorrow night, if he secures a majority of the pledged delegates after tomorrow's voting. Here's the key graf...

Senator Obama's plan to declare himself the Democratic nominee tomorrow night in Iowa is a slap in the face to the millions of voters in the remaining primary states and to Senator Clinton's 17 million supporters.

The key there is the idea that this is an insult to Hillary's millions of supporters, a not-so-subtle suggestion to the Obama forces that she holds millions of Democrats in her pocket and that he'd better make nice if he wants to win them over.

Separately, it's worth noting that the claim that Obama has a "plan" to do this appears to rest on a single anonymous quote given to The Politico several weeks ago.

Since the bill in MO didn't get anywhere before the legislative session ended, I don't think MO is in danger any longer.

But excellent point, either way.

Unfortunately, it passed in Delaware.

Clinton to Obama: There's no nominee yet

"So I'm going to make my case and I'm going to make it until we have a nominee, but we're not going to have one today and we're not going to have one tomorrow and we're not going to have one the next day," Clinton said. "And if Kentucky turns out tomorrow, I will be closer to that nomination because of you."

How's the weather in the State of Denial?

Pretty comfy and exciting.

How are things down there in the Flaccid State?

I completely recant my utterly bullshit post.

To rehash 2005, cry more, n00b.

"Senator Obama's plan to declare himself the Democratic nominee tomorrow night in Iowa is a slap in the face to the millions of voters in the remaining primary states and to Senator Clinton's 17 million supporters."

The Clinton campaign must be really really broke.

17 million supporters, and yet they can only afford one face to be slapped.

Moronic till death.

Always the victim.

How is it a "victim" to wield your power and fight back? Being a victim would have been to tuck tail and sulk away months ago.

Hillary had better not suffocate those supporters in that pocket of hers.

I think we should all answer Gotalife in haiku! it's so simple, maybe it would get through his thick skull.

more smoke and mirrors.
or is it a death rattle?
bye-bye, Hillary.

Haikus, yes!

Hillary Clinton
trolling to pay campaign debts
screws the Democrats.

We think of that pocket as more of a Big Tent.

After reading that, I hope Obama declares victory for tommorrow. Because by not doing it, it will give her the upperhand.

She's got no hand. She has no hope for gaining the upper hand. That bus left long, long ago. At this point, she's just playing for dollars in the hopes of reducing her debts. We're a captive audience - in thrall to the agonizingly slow death in the final stages of her campaign. We want to look away, but we can't.

Sargents quote:
"Separately, it's worth noting that the claim that Obama has a "plan" to do this appears to rest on a single anonymous quote given to The Politico several weeks ago"

Kutrz's quote:
"The general election matchup between John McCain and Barack Obama "

There is more than bias here. There is factual dishonesty and poor reporting.

That Obama intends to declare himself the winner is endorsed by TPM.

user-pic

the Clinton campaign is the one that's claiming that the basis for this is that one article, sorry

But Kurtz is claiming that the general is between Obama and McCain thereby declaring Obama the winner.

That is more than bias. That is factually incorrect and supports TPM's Obama bias and plays into the mock surprise that Clinton should be so audacious as to claim that the race is not over...when in fact, it is not.

user-pic

Damn right, Greg! Not only are you responsible for your own writing, you are also responsible for Kurtz, Ben Smith, and the vast left wing media!

I take this back. I'm an utterly delusional troll - and I apologize to all of you.

Seriously - what I've done is utterly sad and pathetic - or as gotalife mights said "Total BS".

Can you provide a single quote by Senator Obama that he's declaring victory tomorrow?

user-pic

let me clarify. the obama campaign has said for a long time that they will point to the securing of majority of pledged dels when it happens, as a metric to use to persuade super dels.

But that's not the same as having a "plan" to declare victory, and the Clinton camp's claim that they will do this rests on that Politico article. That's the source they gave for it.

That quote has been around for a while.

Has Obama denied this "plan"? If not then there is more credence given to the accuracy Politico quote.

And, it would be not just an insult but an arrogant one at that.

Clinton is the only one that can decide this is over by conceding. And that is not happening.

Clinton is the only one who can decide when it's over? haha, talk about arrogant.

To say nothing of the fact that that's false - once Obama gets the last 120 delegates, it's over.

No, your are wrong.

The SDs can change their minds.

It is not over until Clinton concedes or there is an actual vote at the convention.

Wow. Fogu, you create your own frustration.

There've been times when I've suspected your sincerity in supporting Hillary, but I think you're for real. You just go too far in being unwilling to grasp the realities of the situation (mmmm...not unlike Hillary herself, I think).

No, it's a Republican. The point is to sow division.

Again - bone headed logic on my part - I'm sorry - I take all of this back.

There's facts and then there are facts.

And then there's factiness, the new truthiness.

Yes, Obama has denied it. See my comment immediately below.

user-pic
And that is not happening.

Which I think will be truly a shame. It's better for her to go out on her own terms than be forced out by party leadership, which is what will happen if she continues with this kind of sloppy rhetoric.

To borrow one of Hillary's lines about Barack, and change it just a bit:

She.Can't.Win.

Maybe you should read down the recent posts on TPM-Election Central:

http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/05/obama_wont_declare_victory_tom.php

I'd ask you if it was hard being so stupid, but being that you are that stupid you wouldn't understand the question.

user-pic

YES, he's denied it. Wake up.

user-pic

Before Iowa, Clinton had a plan to declare victory by February 5. How's that for arrogance?

Exactly. I would also point out that the Obama camp has explicity said they will not declare victory tomorrow. Alexrod said exactly this on Morning Joe this morning. The Clinton camp is choosing to cite the Politico piece from a couple weeks ago and ignore stories like this:

http://fe18.news.re3.yahoo.com/s/politico/20080519/pl_politico/10438

Which is standard for the Clinton camp: if it doesn't support the argument they are making, then it doesn't exist. Reminds me an awful lot of Emperor Bush.

Exactly -- the Obama people, including Obama himself, has said 1000 times that they do NOT plan to declare victory on Tuesday, only to point out the "important metric" of achieving a majority of the pledged delegates.

The facts, of course, don't get in the way of Hillary's team continuing to divide the Democratic party.

**Me too!!! I'm endorsing now!

Oh boy, Hillary, just can't help but fan those flames, eh? "Slap in the face". Wow.

Countdown: two more weeks 'till June 3rd.

Hey Hillary, what about slap in the face you gave to all the caucus states, sans Nevada.

It all feeds into her attempt to try to convince her voters, especially female voters, that she was unfairly denied the nomination, and that sexism by Obama and the rest of the Democratic Party is at fault, in order to make her supporters resentful and bitter, thus sabotaging Obama and the Democrats in November, either out of spite, or out of desire to run against McCain in 2012, either way she is trying to subject us to a third term of Bush. More on her strategy:

http://www.thepersonalispolitical.com/2008/05/is-hillary-scorching-earth-for-2012.html

Yep. So, despite her apparent willingness to back down in public, I don't believe that Hillary has any real intentions of acting in a way that would bring about unity in the Party. Hillary's interests are in advancing the interests of Hillary - and the Party be damned.

user-pic

Those all appear to be possibilities, since what other explanations could there be for her staying in? I don't buy the fuzzy math of a popular vote that includes states that voted illegally. But if the intention really is to gin up the anger of female voters to be ready for a run in 2012, surely she must realize that there are probably an equal number of Obama supporters who have begun to feel such resentment toward what she's doing that they'll never vote for her, even if Obama decided not to run for re-election.

So what is she doing?

Meanwhile, in real life, Obama opens up 16-point lead in Gallup daily tracking poll.

Her claims just get wilder and less connected to reality.

Can someone use the proverbial hook to get her offstage, before she ruins what's left of her career?

**What career? Stumpin?

user-pic

Well he said he wasn't. Now I hope he does!

This is beyond stupid. He's won and they have got to get over that. Or not - whatever. Make up their minds right now if they are Democrats or bitter.

I'm way annoyed - they are hell bent on taking any pleasure or glory out of his win.

Think of us as the bitter wing of the Democratic Party. Actually, that'd make a good song:

Well she's walking through the clouds
With a circus mind thats running proud
Butterflies and zebras
And moonbeams and fairy tales
Thats all she ever thinks about
Riding to the end.

When she's cashed out, she comes to me
With a thousand smiles, she says give to me
Its alright I say its alright
Take anything you want from me, anything
Anything.

Fly on bitter wing,
Yeah yeah, yeah, bitter wing

user-pic

How's this: Obama has won the nomination.

All the Clintonistas can get right the fuck over it right now. They've had months.

Hillary was declaring that she would win it all on Super Tuesday.

Hillary is the hypocrite that started slapping all the voters in their faces, long before Super Tuesday.

user-pic

Thank you. Why is this not brought up every single time she offers that line of crap about Obama "disenfranchising" voters?

DISENFRENCHFRY!!!!!

It will be now.

I want to know why we have to tiptoe around the fact that Hillary Clinton lost the fucking nomination?

I'm sick of it.

Enough!

I so do not take well to being threatened. By anyone.

My Mummy always gave me warm milk when I got this worked up. It really helped my tum-tum.

Hillary is such a fighter. She's a regular "Million Dollar Baby".

"Senator Obama's plan to declare himself the Democratic nominee tomorrow night in Iowa is a slap in the face to the millions of voters in the remaining primary states and to Senator Clinton's 17 million supporters."

Um, no, it's not a slap in the face to her supporters. If it is, then anytime *any* candidate wins *any* democratic election, it's a slap in a face to the supporters of the losing candidate.

It's called democracy.

user-pic

He never said he planned to declare victory, either way.

user-pic

Word Up!

Right now I consider myself slapped in the face as an Obama supporter - I am daring to want to celebrate the fact that he won and she's not having it - she and the rest of the HellBent Brigade.

They can kiss my ass! I am entitled to have my winning candidate declare victory and celebrate, goddamn it.

We'll reserve you a table for 75,000 in August. Would you like the smoking or non-smoking section?

this statement is hillarious because Senator Obama has no "plan to declare victory" tomorrow.

geeesh

Can't she go out with some dignity instead of kicking and screaming?

"But, it's my turn!"

user-pic

Much too much to ask of Hillary Clinton, I'm afraid.

How is this for a slap in the face Hillary;

During your victory speech in West Virginia you bragged about having met that day with Senator Byrd.

Today:

"Barack Obama is a noble-hearted patriot and humble Christian, and he has my full faith and support," Byrd concluded.

The more time Hillary spends with our leaders the more she convinces them to rush to the aid of Senator Obama.

I'd say it's more like a punch in the belly than a slap in the face.

Or a kick in the seat of the Pandersuit.

I think she shot that mule a couple weeks ago...now she's just kicking the carcas.

55% Obama

Gallup Poll...interesting!

I also like the polls showing McCain and Obama in a dead heat in OHIO...nice movement!

I also like the polls showing Obama up by 5 in Pennsylvania over McCain.

I also like the polls showing Obama beating McCain in NY, NJ, DE, MD, MA, CT, VT, ME, IL, WI, MN, MI, IA, CO, NM, CA, OR, WA, HI, NV, and ND.

I also like the very tight polls in VA, MS, LA, TX, NC, SC, IN, GA, FL, UT, ID, MT, and AK......

The math looks good! The tide has turned from the Primary...and in head to head comparison with John McCain, America is liking what they see in Barack Obama.

Wait, that can't be right. People like gotalife and djiamo have assured me Obama can't win.

YAY! Thanks for facing reality of the impending doom with Barack as our nominee.

http://www.gallup.com/poll/107110/Obamas-Support-Similar-Kerrys-2004.aspx

That's the mistake Clinton made and exactly the same mistake McCain is making. Obama isn't a Kerry or Dukakis Democrat; the more people see of him, the more they come away realizing that. He's gonna tear McCain's organization to pieces.

Of course, just my $.02, but I think Clinton would attest to the fact that Obama has some tempered steel under those suits.

Taylor Marsh misses you!

Obama/Olbermann '08!

Put the weed away, please!

She's fanning the flames. The lack of a solid, unified Democratic party message is already taking its toll in the media narrative. I saw a panel on CNN yesterday composed of a conservative columnist, a Washington Times "journalist," and a Democratic strategist, Hank Scheinkopf, who was a Clinton 1996 re-election consultant, plus a Spitzer campaign consultant and is a Hillary supporter. The subject was the "appeasement" argument regarding Iran and Bush's comments to the Knesset. All were attacking Obama's response, including Scheinkopf, and all were allowing the Moonie Times "reporter" to bandy about the word "appeasement" improperly defined. This shouldn't have occurred. As the only representative of Democrats on the panel, Scheinkopf should have been showing how the GOP is improperly using the term "appeasement" and explained its proper use, and he should have defended Obama's stance as not being appeasement, properly defined, and listed all the other leaders -- GOP included -- who have negotiated with those considered to be enemies. Instead, the conservatives were permitted to dominate the discussion and continue the lie of "appeasement" and Scheinkopf willingly participated. This should never have happened. This is the result of Clinton's Campaign to Nowhere and her refusal to accept the fact that she can no longer win. She continues to raise the hopes of her supporters in the face of certain failure. And all Democrats are suffering for it. Don't tell me she still has a chance. Don't tell me she can still win because she can't. It's over. She really and truly needs to just bow out gracefully.

user-pic

Clinton's Campaign to Nowhere

Oh, very nice.

What was the show? (On CNN?)

What an ugly statement. Especially since the Obama team has all ready said they had no plans of doing such.

An ugly statement indeed.

user-pic

I feel like I'm getting whiplash at this point. Last week, I thought she was outstanding in rebutting the Bush-McCain criticisms. Outstanding.

Today? She's lying about Obama.

What's going to happen tomorrow?

I remember that shortly before John Paul II passed on, we witnessed the bizzare spectacle of the Pontiff awarding Fr Maciel of the Legion of Christ as special medal of honor on a Tuesday and then announcing on the following Thursday that a canonical court of inquiry was being opened to examine charges that Fr Maciel was guilty of molesting seminarians. To outsiders, this looked well-nigh schizophrenic: why honor a man just two days before you proceed to impeach his reputation?

The answer which emerged after his death, however, was that while both of these actions were formally conducted by the pope, in reality there was an intra-Vatican turf war going on behind the scenes. The two most powerful figures in the Roman Curia, Joseph Ratzinger of the CDF and Angelo Soldano of the Vatican Secretariat of State, were struggling for control of the levers of power as the Pope was drifting into bed-ridden obliviousness. Ratzinger wanted Maciel defrocked while Soldano was Maciel's patron, so the disjointed nature of the Pontiff's actions reflected the fact that these two puppet masters were each pulling the strings at different times.

I am reminded of this spectacle a lot lately as we watch the daily doings of the Clinton campaign. One day she is talking up unity; the next she is playing up divisions. I do not think that Clinton is nearly as senile or exhausted as was John Paul II in his last days, but I do wonder if she is not so worn out from the strains of the campaign that she is not grown somewhat confused and suggestible. Is it possible that the strange incongruity between one day and the next with the Clinton campaing belies a behind-the-scenes battle between two factions of advisers, one looking to end this with grace the other looking still to win at all costs?

user-pic

Makes as much sense as anything.

I can see Bill absolutely refusing to give up, despite everything.

CT, if it's any consolation, my neck still hurts from way back in February, when she lauded Obama at the debate and then the very next day shouted, "Shame on you, Barack Obama!!".

Just looking at the title, I knew it would be Mr. Sargent who was writing this, giving more credence to the HRC spin, based on one anonymous quote form 8 days ago to Politico, than to the carefully slated position by the Obama campaign. What is the agenda here - fan the flames so we can all go down together in November???

user-pic

giving more credence to the HRC spin

That's a creative interpretation, that.

If Sargent wanted to give the Clinton spin credence, he could have left out this:

Separately, it's worth noting that the claim that Obama has a "plan" to do this appears to rest on a single anonymous quote given to The Politico several weeks ago.

Just looking at the title, I knew it would be Mr. Sargent who was writing this, giving more credence to the HRC spin, based on one anonymous quote form 8 days ago to Politico, than to the carefully slated position by the Obama campaign. What a strange complaint to register. This is not even so much "desperate" as it is simply unintelligible. They might as well speak of Obama's plan to invade Mexico, or his plan to orchestrate a military coup for all the sense that this makes.

user-pic

Yes, those plans are also slaps in the face of 17 million Hillary supporters.

Kumbaya Sargent

You could have done without the BOLD but hey, O'Bama sez I gotta be nice to you

Can't we all just get along
http://www.cyburbia.org/gallery/data/500/rodney_king.jpg

Ok I'm not getting this. What is this, the "You're hurting my feelings defense"?

If Hillary can't handle someone simply starting the fact that they have won the majority of the pledged delegates, how could she handle those mean old Republicans, let alone the pressures of the oval office.

After all it is just plain and simple math, there is no emotion or malice to it at all. Complaining about this is like someone complaining about there being 50 states in the US.

Also wasn't her campaign the one that repeatedly stated that if you can handle the heat, get out of the kitchen? And I do believe I remember something about the Clintons intending to throw elbows... a kitchen sink etc too a while back.

She's doing what she has a history of doing in this campaign, and that's twisting words and/or facts to create an inflammatory message that puts her in the victim's chair. It's no wonder her supporters are so angry. Her messaging is little different from how Bush and the GOP misstate facts or simply state lies over and over and over again until they begin to take on their own truth. The Obama campaign has said only that after tomorrow, he will have won the majority of pledged delegates. He has not said he is claiming victory. The fact that this is what she has twisted this into is only proof that she is trying to inflame and further anger her supporters. Why does everyone stand for such manipulation?

user-pic

The Clinton's are making Baby Jesus cry. There's not rhyme or reason to releasing this statement today. It's another spitball tactic.

I especially like it that she's on Bill's shoulders. LOLOL!

So, let me get this straight--if you win, it's an insult to those who supported your opponent? How so? This baseless umbrage-taking seems to be part and parcel of this week's meme by which Ferraro and other HRC supporters somehow "blame" Obama for the sexism that (allegedly)cost HRC victory.

It seems they're doing their best to anger her supporters as much as they possibly can, and I have to wonder why they want to do this. She will see the party in flames before she gives up what is, and has been, a hopeless quest.

It has been over since Wisconsin.
Hillary and her supporters are slow learners with no Math skills.

hahaha, I'd love to hear some of your reform suggestions...

Reform #1: Any election in which Hillary Clinton participates, Hillary Clinton wins.

OK, Full disclosure: I live most of the year (and vote in Oregon). I grew up in Montana and spend a couple of months a year in the Big Sky state.

I am supporting Barack Obama (my mail-in vote was made many days ago), but I could as easily be supporting HRC, were she the front-runner. If HRC had dropped out after Wisconsin or after NC or (pick your favorite spot) then I would not have had the privilege of seeing Democratic candidates headlining the local news. Even the FOX channel has to cover them! And I certainly would not have had the chance to participate in yesterday's mega-rally on the Portland Waterfront. ("Wow!" doesn't begin to describe being part of the biggest rally in Oregon history.)

I'll be in Montana for the next couple of weeks and I can't wait to see the Democratic buzz in the "Last Best Place to Vote".

I understand that longtime supporters of Senator Obama are impatient for it all to be over, but please also understand that this is an historic contest--never in my life have I seen a primary that has been so strongly contested in *every* state.

Let the process run to conclusion and revel in the energy and enthusiasm that these two extraordinary candidates are bringing to the Party.

The MSM is trying to make a story out of the disunity, but I have every confidence that we will come out of the Denver convention united, strong, and ready to kick-ass.

In all fairness, most Obama supporters are fine with her staying in until the end, as long as she focuses her negativity on McCain.

I saw the story that Obama intends to declare victory tomorrow night on ABC News. And yes, if he does it, it would be a slap to Hillary supporters. It would send presumptuous message that Obama takes their support for granted. It would also look a little odd if he declares victory before he reaches the magic number of delegates.

This cannot surprise, haven't we all always known the Clintons NEVER give up?

Cut off your nose, to spite your face, very sad.

What is the point of declaring victory when, by every measure, you have already won? If the victory is self-evident, why declare?

Sooner, rather than later, HillaryNation will come to the realization that it's not going to happen for her this year. And unless they are truly myopic and are willing to vote against their own self-interest (as many as 3 new Associate Supreme Court Justices, anyone?) by supporting a McCain candidacy (or staying home to pout), they should cool off and get behind Obama in November.

We need their support. It is loyal and fervently enthusiastic. One would hope they would rally to the cause. We cannot afford a McCain presidency.

I've said this before and many of you already know this. Hillary had no plan B once her inevitability evaporated, and she has no exit strategy. She won't run again in 2012. It's 2008 or never for her.

There are 125 delegates up for grabs Tuesday. Obama needs 112. He'll certainly get halfway there tomorrow. There are a total of 235 delegates left. There is no way Hillary will get the 306 she needs. I don't know how many superdelegates are left.

So the way this is playing out is that Obama will have the delegate count he needs by June 3.

Perhaps, Hillary believes Haim Saban can buyoff enough super delegates to steal the election by June 3rd?

user-pic

As the hook pulled her offstage, she'd go screaming, dragging the podium with her, while her shrieking maenads pelted the stage with rotten fruit and bitter accusations of "misogyny."

user-pic

Drat! This was meant to be a reply to PJ Evans at 1:22. Sorry.

"Millions of voters in the remaining primary states"?

Montana and South Dakota combined had fewer than a million voters in the 2004 general election. Puerto Rico is not a state.

So by what stretch of the imagination are there "millions of voters in the remaining primary states"?

A**holes to the end. Oh well. Let them pout and stomp their feet. They didn't get their way.

The word for this type of argument btw is "straw man". Maybe Obama should denounce Hillary's outrageous and undemocratic plan to crown herself Empress?

He hasn't noticed, 'cuz he's occupied with General Election business.

user-pic

Only in Hillary's world the winner would be insult to the person that lost. We now must over turn all election based on her reality.

If He's So Confident, Why The Desperate Behavior?

May 18, 2008 (LPAC)--Two recent incidents suggest that, despite the lying media hype that Senator Barack Obama has already secured the Democratic nomination, nothing could be further from the truth, and the Obama backers and some Howard ``Scream'' Dean people are now resorting to desperate tactics, including heavy-handed pressure and outright bribery, to try to stop Senator Hillary Clinton's building momentum, going into the final series of primary elections.

Sources close to the Obama camp have reported that the May 14 endorsement by former Senator and Vice Presidential candidate John Edwards, came at a heavy price. According to one source, Edwards was put under tremendous pressure to endorse Obama now, or face total isolation by the Obama camp. A second source added that ``private donors'' very close to Obama made major contributions to an Edwards anti-poverty project, to buy the Senator's endorsement. Just days before Hillary Clinton's landslide victory in the West Virginia primary on May 13, Edwards had announced his intentions to remain neutral until the nomination had been finalized. Then, on May 14, he made his about-face and endorsed Obama. The day before the endorsement, on May 13, Edwards had been in Philadelphia to launch a new anti-poverty campaign, called ``Half-in-Ten,'' whose avowed goal is to cut poverty in America in half in the next decade. Two of the groups participating in the coalition, the Center for American Progress Action Fund and ACORN, are both almost exclusively funded by none other than George Soros, and his Democracy Alliance of billionaires. Soros launched the Democracy Alliance in April 2005, in an effort to assure Anglo-Dutch financier domination over the Democratic Party, through the pooling of the wealth of 70 multi-millionaires and billionaires, into a targeted list of Democratic Party organizations and think tanks. Among the members of the Soros group is Fred Baron, a wealthy Dallas, Texas attorney who was finance chairman for John Edwards' failed 2004 presidential campaign.

In another move that clearly showed more signs of desperation than confidence, Obama backers induced Prince George, Maryland County Executive Jack Johnson, a Hillary Clinton delegate, to announce, on May 14, that he was switching his convention vote to Obama--despite the fact that, under Democratic Party rules, elected delegates are bound to the candidate they were elected to represent in the primary--at least on the first ballot. Both the Maryland Democratic Party and Howard Scream's DNC made no effort to shoot down Johnson's defection. The increasing thug tactics being used by Obama backers in recent days is a reflection of growing concern that, coming out of Senator Clinton's landslide victory in West Virginia, and the overwhelming support that she is winning among blue collar voters, and other constituents in the lower 80 percent income bracket, it may be impossible to settle the nomination battle before the August nominating convention in Denver. Lyndon LaRouche has emphasized that, if Senator Clinton continues her active candidacy into the August convention, she will win the nomination, and then go on to soundly defeat John McCain in the general election in November. LaRouche has warned for months that Obama is not electable, and that leading City of London financial circles had backed Obama, only to knock Clinton out of the race. Ultimately, they intend to assure that he is never elected President. Increasingly, Obama backers in many states around the country, are coming to see that LaRouche's warnings were correct.

Oh brother, what pathetic lies! "LPAC" = LaRouche Political Action Committee, folks. Let's see, how much time has LaRouche served in jail? Yeah, there's credibility...not! ;-)

No w we have LaRouche trolls?
Holy bat guano.

Look everyone - I've made a lot of ignorant, hateful posts over the last few months. Some have been downright racist - like my Icon.

The truth is - I'm a sad, bitter pathetic man. It's been this way for a while - ever since I contracted herpes from my wife's sister. I've led a very sad life - and I apologize.

I was hired by the Republican party to cause mischief - and I've been at odds with myself ever since I started. From now on though - I promise - never again.

Please, accept my humblest apologies for my utterly idiotic, poorly written, hateful, downright lame posts. I am utterly ashamed for what I've done here.

Yeah, very amusing, "fogu2," but spoofing is bad, even in fun. Cut it out.

I like how this place just hates the Americna process of electing candidates.

Its not over until the convention. What part of the do you people NOT understand?

Some on the blogosphere have pounded that tired statement since NH. Hillary's come back everytime.

must be campaign fatigue.

I know I hate "Americna" and anything to do with it; those commie, bizarro bastards...however, I'm quite fond of the United States of America and democratic elections.

It's just become such a wonderful farce -- Hillary is actually trying to claim that, by winning the contest fair and square, Obama is slapping her voters in the face.
I completely fail to see how any woman, even those over 60, can see Hillary Clinton's angry, self-righteous victimhood strategy as empowering to women. Her constant asking for the rules to be changed, so that they benefit her, would seem to fly in the face of what feminism is all about -- treating men and women as equals. I mean, I can tweak the rules enough so that my pet hamster Hortense wins the Democratic nomination, but how is that empowering to hamsters?
Frankly, if Hillary were president, it would set feminism back 60 years.

First of all, Obama is not declaring victory--that's just Clinton doing a little "pre-distortion" just to get the smear machine warmed up.

Secondly, so why shouldn't he acknowledge this milestone? Clinton has been declaring victory since the summer of 2007. Obama has pulled off one of the most stunning political upsets in American history--why should he have to apologize for it?

More lies from Hillary. She's really ending her campaign on a low, low note. It's really quite pathetic.

Even more, Hillary is showing just why so many people are rejecting her: she represents the same old politics as usual in Washington: Decry a statement from your opponent that your opponent never made, then get the lapdog media to report it so that it becomes part of the political narrative even though it never happened. Thank God Obama will put an end to these cynical, deceptive tactics that insult the intelligence of the American people.

Hugs and Kool-Aid for everyone! Unity '08!!!

This smear needs a brief counter-statement. How

"Appeasement isn't talking, it's giving things away for nothing -- like giving half a free country to a dictator. They're twisting words again to try to fool you."

As a feminist, I find Hillary's behavior very embarrassing. She is a tough woman, and this should be beneath her dignity. She owes her supporters better than this -- not to mention that she owes the Democratic party better than this.

By any reasonable measure, she has lost. Her only hope is that superdelegates start to change their minds -- and votes -- to her instead of the other direction. There is absolutely no sign of this happening.

To talk about Michigan is beneath the dignity of a five-year-old -- how you can count the votes when one party was not on the ballot is preposterous, to say the least.

She should set an example of strength and dignity and get out, and seriously support the nominee. Does she have the strength to do this?

It's not about anybody's feelings at this point. It is about defeating the right wing, as represented by John McCain. If she is serious about the issues and the people she claims to be serious about, she knows this.

Now she needs to act like it. Or her advisors need to push her, if she has so lost perspective.

Anything else is a sad spectacle of embarrassment.

In the history of all histories there has been no campaign that has played the sympathy/victimhood card...and thus the the gender card...as much as HRC. I will say now that she will hold this record forever.

When Obama wins in November, Clinton supporters will be saying -- but we would have won by more!

Come on, I'm sure Hillary has en extra face she can lend out for a slap or two.

Put a fork in it. Call it dinner. Obama for President.

By Clinton's standards, Ol' Huck is still in the race for the Republican nomination.

smart politcian
now thinking of 2012
destroys the party

Utter BS....and pathetic...

In an election, there are always losers and winners. Hillary's supporters are going to have to learn to accept the fact that their candidate lost. And the best way for them to accept this is for Hillary to concede graciously. To keep pumping them up like this is no good for the democratic party and its no good for her supporters.

Hillary, when will you accept that your defeat is inevitable? Why do you keep dragging this out and denying it?

The vanity never ends with the Clinton camp, does it.

The Clintons are socio-paths....Nixonian in their own weird way...

A Note to HRC Losers: You are losers not because of Obama but because HRC is a loser and a majority of Democrats have rejected her. HRC did not lose the nomination becuase she is a women. HRC lost it becauce she is a bitch. It's plain and simple.

The better news is that 6 million of HRC's so-called 17 million supporters will be dead or "out to lunch" in 2012. That's the problem with hitching your boat to folks with Alzheimers.

You go, dude. It's time that the pedophile wing of the party spoke up. Very refreshing.

The real headline of this article should be:

"OBAMA PLANS TO WIN DEMOCRATIC NOMINATION INSULTS HILLARY AND HER SUPPORTERS."

He should just drop out now, so they don't all get their feelings hurt. I wouldn't want Bill to wave his finger at him.

For a "strong" woman, Clinton certainly plays the victim card with dispiriting regularity.

Two points:

1. I'll be glad when the whining and distortions are over. Two weeks now and we'll have a general election campaign between adults. It is soooooo pathetic. The clintons will be whining on the French riviera soon doing boilermakers.

2. Clinton's constant distortions and whining is an insult to all of obama's voters and the democratic party in general. Also, clinton's attempt to steal the election and break the rules is an insult to all the states and voters that played by the rules. Shame on you clinton, shame on you.

No, she's an insult to the millions of Obama voters. She is not acting like a gracious loser. Whining and no class.

I thought I would feel sorry for her right about now but she's made it impossible. I am very angry with her.
