We Have A Winner! Bush Gets Highest Gallup Disapproval Rating Ever
President Bush has reached a new milestone: He now has the highest disapproval ratings ever of any president in the 70-year history of the Gallup poll.
The newest ratings: Approve 28%, Disapprove 69%. The previous high disapproval was held by Harry Truman during the depths of the Korean War in 1952, at 67%.

He'll use the Truman number to argue how similar he is to Harry.

Indie Pro:
You would make a terrible follower of Gandhi and MLK. You would be the person who responds violently when non-violence has been asked. When will you change your tone of discourse and address the question at hand in a constructive, supportive of your candidate approach as Obama does, rather than in the tired old politics of hate? When will YOU disagree without being disagreeable? Or are Obama's words just words to you, and not a call to positive action?

Given how he's screwed over the country, 69 seems oddly appropriate.

All we need to do now is make sure everyone in America understands that McCain is just a 3rd Bush term.

I think he's worse. He can't remember the lies he's supposed to tell and he has an out of control temper. Add that to being a born again neocon and it looks worse than GW Shrub to me.

The real question is who are these 28% who approve? If I were an eager TV exec, I'd make a reality series focusing on these people. It would be gold.

My mom, for one. She votes anti-abortion. Told her that Bush couldn't get that done even with his stooges in Congress, but falls on deaf ears. She is 81.

Here's what we did with my mother in law, who has never voted for a Democrat in her life (she's 86.) We talked her into staying home.
I think she's actually relieved to just ignore the whole thing.

Who wants to bet that Laura has an abortion in her past? Who wants to bet that Duh-bya has several abortions in his past during his "young and irresponsible" days in his 40's.

And some are still seriously worried about the electability of Obama this fall?
Bush = Republican
McCain = Republican
Next President = Obama

I'm very worred that Obama won't get the votes of that 28%, which means he's sure to lose because, as we all know, those are the only people who will actually be allowed to vote in November. We'd better flush the whole primary process down the crapper and nominate Hillary instead. Those twenty eight percenters would totally choose her over McCain.

What took him so long? He has been working hard to alienate the American public for years now. Glad to see him finally get the recognition he deserves.

After the '04 election I had my doubts, but it turns out that given enough time the American people can positively identify a sh**bag when they see one.

There's a very important lesson here. A year before the 2004 election, Bush's ratings were in the toilet. And as the election approached, they climbed. It just shows how easily the electorate is manipulated. It also shows that McCain can win.
In 2004, long after the truth was out, the majority of voters still believed Iraq was behind 9/11. And how could that be? One important reason is that many people get most or all of their news from blogs, and blogs tend to tell their readers what they want to hear.
