Report: Penn Still In Clinton Campaign, But Not In Charge Anymore
Although Mark Penn is still involved in the Clinton campaign, his overall influence has reportedly diminished to the point where something notable has happened: On the campaign's internal conference calls, his ideas can be shot down.
"Every little ad and direct-mail and radio spot and speech had to have Mark's approval on it—he could look at everything he wanted," one staffer said. "That's no longer the case."

You promise? Or are you going to move the goalposts in a week or so to where the Clinton campaign has them presently (a win of any margin is a win)?

Wow, and 5 other polls have shown him anywhere from 5 behind or 2 ahead. See? I can do that too! Gotta love you Hillary supporters though, you'll never stop thinking reality should reflect your dreams.
Oh yeah, she needs a 20% win in EVERY state from here on out, by the way.

How is this a comment on Mark Penn's role in the campaign? Did he do the SUSA poll?

Best news I have heard all day. Get the Hammer. To Paraphrase Lanny Davis, "This whole Mark Penn thing is not going away."

Sure, sure, sure. As long as Mark Penn is on staff, Clinton will be questioned about her claimed opposition to the Colombian Free Trade deal when her own husband, Bill Clinton, received $800,000 from a Colombian organization in support of it.

Who's asking the question? No one from the MSM seems to think this is really a big deal (is NPR considered MSM? they're the only ones who gave this any real attention).

Still, it shows that she didn't take a principled stand. There was a conflict of interest, she showed that that was just fine.
Which should be no surprise given all of Bill's connections to the same deal.

So "sack" means "given a diminished role."
It's a little different than Bush at least. To him it means promotion.
Can we bring back Samantha Powers yet? She's actually part of the Obama camp that makes me like Obama. (I'm talking policy here.) Do any Hillary supporters actually like Penn? Does his policy decisions even coincide with Hillary's? (They clearly coincide with Bill's.)

What Clinton is really doing with all this Orwellian bullshit is giving her labor supporters the middle finger. Any union that continues to endorse her campaign truly deserves the title "Judas."

Without Penn gone, HRC's campaign has not credibility... a true Clinton....

I don't understand the lack of Union leadership outrage over this situation with Mark Penn in the Clinton campaign. All she did was "shuffle the deck" so to speak. This guy is still gonna do polling and provide "advice". Mark Penn needs to be GONE! I cannot put any trust in Clinton that she has the best interests of American union members at heart as long as she refuses to part with this guy. And neither should the leadership of any union. I don't understand all the wailing about Obama's unpaid advisor's comments to some low level Canadian official, while the LEADER of Clinton's campaign is holding strategy meetings with the Columbian ambassador to get this onerous Columbian legislation passed? She is basically spitting in the eye of the unions by moving this guy to the back room for a while till the heat (what little of it that has been generated) dies down. Is union leadership so in love with (or in fear of) the Clintons that they accept this with nary a whimper? WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE? The AFL-CIO ought to be hounding Clinton night and day to make a complete break with this guy. Can someone explain to me why that is not happening?
