Report: Obama Has Already Bought Up Much More TV Time In Indiana And North Carolina
MSNBC reports that Obama has already outspent Hillary two-to-one on TV ad time in Indiana and North Carolina.
This, combined with Obama's massive cash-on-hand advantage -- he has over $40 million, she's in the red -- make it that much tougher for her to make a credible case for staying in the race without a very decisive victory tonight.

How did losing by 10 feel?

9.4, actually. Well, this time it felt like winning. And you know it, too, just can't admit it to yourself.
Sane people support Obama.

Oh, and according to the official State of PA site with exactly ONE out of 9,264 districts still not reported, it's 9.2%.
Not that that bothers the supposedly-swooning-over-Obama MSM, which is still gleefully reporting it as 10%.
Ah yes, fuzzy math.
Double digits, if you count digits to the RIGHT of the decimal point.
Which is completely fine, if you use Clintonian mathematics.

Ive seen Obama ads over here in NC for quite some time, ive also seen a lot of Obama bumper stickers... I did see something else funny today, a janitor power washing a Hillary 08 chalk sign off the walls and side walks at my campus. (your not allowed to do shit like that)
BTW I have also seen Ron Paul chalk so dont think that just cause 1 person writes a thing on a wall shows support at the campus, i have yet to talk to ONE Clinton supporter here. I do know many who are going to vote for Obama though and i have told them where to vote that is near the campus on the 28th (first day early voting is open there)

I dunno about that. All Sen. Clinton requires to stay in this is for the MSM (and its aspirants here at TPM) to continue registering their class interest by pretending this race is still a toss-up.
It's worked for her (and you) so far.

Wow, the spin on MSNBC is so bad and the fight on CNN about radicals is raging, I had to turn to Fox News.
Fox News says its exit polling has Clinton at 55, Obama 45 .
Geez, what corporate media mess.

If you think anyone here cares what news outlet you chose, you're more delusional than I thought.
Sad.
Pathetic.

what? gotalife chose fox news? i'm shocked, shocked i say..
but your right about the corporate media mess. thats what you get when three corporations own 98% of the tv channels and radio stations out there...

Slightly tempted to turn the channel to Fox News. I'm picturing Brit Hume saying, "Let's look at the results out of Philadelphia" and the camera switches to a pie chart that reads 100% "Wright is a Crazy Black Preacher."

An excellent point made by Fineman on MSNBC: Obama forced Clinton's campaign to essentially go bankrupt in PA in her effort to win big. She really can't do nearly the same that Obama can in Indiana and NC now since her campaign is in the red. I think this is the "hidden" story coming out from PA behind the outcome this evening, regardless of the results.

Why are the democrats spending any time and money in No. Carolina? It is a very red state without a ghost of a chance of going democrat in Nov. Obama is going to win the blacks by 90% and Clinton is going to win the whites by 70% so what McCain is going to win the general. The electoral college is winner take all no convuluted Democratic party election rules. What a waste of time, money and effort. On to Indiana and kentucky. Two states that are in play and worth the effort.

Obama wins the nomination because he'll have the most pledged delegates, the most popular vote, the most states won and the most money raised by the most individual donors. HRC has a slim to none chance of overtaking him in any of those categories.
Why would the superdelegates possibly turn their backs on what Obama has accomplished here and give it the to the person who came in second place, has the highest negative ratings and who is the one person who can single handedly bring out the Republican vote in November?
Answer: They wouldn't. This is over. Not a matter of if, but when and how HRC will go out. Chances are good it will be ugly.

So he's going to outspend Hillary in Indiana. Like he did in Texas, Ohio and Pennsylvania. But if he doesn't win there after all that spending, it makes him look even worse.

Obama does have to overcome the 20% margin Clinton started with pretty much everywhere due to her husband's administration being the only successful democratic one in recent memory. I would say that is a pretty sizable advantage of the kind money just can't buy.

Thanks for the big picture view. It's too easy to forget that Hillary entered the race as the "inevitable" winner with every advantage imaginable, and too easy to lose sight of what a stunning achievement it is that Obama will get the nomination. His money advantage of late is due solely to his appeal to small money donors at the grassroots level (Hillary retaining the advantage among the big bucks special interest folks) and it only partially compensates for all the inherent advantages she had when the race began.

Look Obama has been running against two people since this race began. People have begun to swoon over Hillary not because she is so great but because they want to remeber how they felt in 1992-2000.
Obama has worked hard to get his message out. Problem for Hillary is NC isn't nearly as poor as PA or OH. So I think Obama would win by at least 15 points. I have Indiana as a toss up.
