Poll: Republicans Way Behind In Even Their Best Senate Pickup Opportunity
The GOP's single best pickup opportunity in the Senate right now is against Louisiana Dem Mary Landrieu -- but a new poll finds that she holds a solid lead over her Republican challenger, suggesting that this year's Senate map could be very rough indeed for the GOP.
The numbers from Rasmussen: Landrieu 55%, state Treasurer and ex-Dem John Kennedy (R) 39%. If Landrieu prevails this November, then the GOP is likely to be shut out on Senate pickups again, just as they were in 2006.

This is good news considering that HRC wants John McCain to be the next president.

This is great news. Worried a little about the Landrieu name after the brother lost the Mayoral in New Orleans.

She uses Obama's unity and votes with the gop most of the time probably trying to get money to rebuild LA.
I hope she will vote with the Dems with Clinton as President.

I will chop my computer into tiny little pieces and eat it if Hillary Clinton wins the Democratic nomination for President. You can stomp your foot and say it over and over and over and over... it is not going to happen.
And Hillary has no one to blame but herself. If she had a game plan post "Super-Tuesday", she might be ahead. However, she is NOT...and she will never take the lead in pledged delegates. Repeat THIS IS HER OWN FAULT. REPEAT THIS IS HER OWN FAULT.
And I promise you that if Hillary keeps draggign Obama through the mud and bringing up garbage in her effort to destroy him and it causes him to lose in November, we will remember in 2012. She can kiss her chances goodbye in 4 years as well, I will campaign for ANYONE but SHRILLARY
She blew it... and it is time for her to accept that fact.

Here's hoping that Pat Roberts' recent invitation for the leaky research lab to come to Kansas (shades of Davis, California and their free-range research monkeys!) will wake up the voters in this state, and we will get a surprise with Slattery as our new Senator from Kansas.
Issues like Roberts willingly offering his own state up to the biolab demons might change the demographics in a lot of formerly "red" states.

so the repuglitards are totally screwed ???
what did they expect when they choose george bush as their candidate for presnit
george bush has fucked up everything he has been involved with in the past
why should the repuglitard party be any different than george's oil company ???
The good news for Democrats is that picking up 17 Senate seats is now within the realm of possibility
and if we DO pick up 17 Senate seats, say goodbye to scalia, alito, roberts, and uncle thomas
george bush = disaster accomplished

Has anyone noticed that Rasmussen pulled its polls for the presidential and Senate races in Louisiana? When viewing the Senate poll's toplines, I saw that they polled for Haley Barbour's favorables. In case you didn't already know, Haley Barbour has nothing to do with Louisiana. I thought that the favorables were for Bobby Jindal, but the numbers would be much lower than expected. The numbers looked like the favorability of Haley Barbour in Louisiana. Did Rasmussen make this mistake? If so, is it worth pulling both polls?
