Obama And Clinton Camps Debating Over North Carolina Debate

It turns out the Democratic campaigns are still squabbling over how they'll debate in North Carolina.

Yesterday we reported that Hillary Clinton had accepted a debate for North Carolina, with a different date from the one originally proposed.

The Obama camp now says they have not yet agreed to the new date of April 27 — after the Pennsylvania primary, which Hillary is currently expected to win — as opposed to their original proposed date of April 19, before the Pennsylvania primary.

On the subject of what folks take away from these debates, don't miss Mark Morford's column today:

"The very best thing about Barack Obama
(No, not that. Or that or that or that. It's that other thing, deeper, crazier, intuitive)"

Thanks for the link. That's a great commentary.

Thanks for bringing that article to my attention. He captures almost completely what I've been feeling. Obama's definitely not perfect, but I feel he's so much better than anything else we've seen lately that I'm more than willing to overlook his peccadilloes. My favorite quote (just for its imagery) was:

They tell me that even just to write a column like this is akin to merely washing the windows in your little pod in "The Matrix."

Great op-ed.

I have a crazy idea. How about we just ignore the campaign's pre-debate back-and-forth about the timing, hosting, lighting, water-bottle-brand-choosing, and everything else as....pretty frickin' meaningless and boring?

Well, not necessarily a "crazy idea," but certainly an apolitical one.

I was wondering why Obama let her change the date like that. Glad to see they didn't roll over.

That pretty much seals it. I think we should just skip the GE cause we "feel" it. Pat on the back..whats next?
