New McCain Ad: "Big Ideas For Serious Problems"

John McCain has a new ad up in select markets in Ohio and Pennsylvania, pitching him as a bipartisan conciliator. "As President, John McCain will take the best ideas from both parties to spur innovation, invest in people and create jobs," the announcer says:

The last line seems to be a subtle knock against Barack Obama, whom McCain has accused of being shallow and lacking any real propsals: "Big ideas for serious problems. John McCain."

Ha! The best ideas from BOTH parties? Unless the Republicans have a secret plan to put Bush and Cheney in front of a firing squad I can't imagine what that Republican idea might be.

And name one of his proposals that does any of the things that this add purports that McCain is going to do?

You mean like amke Bush's tax cuts permanent! Yu mean like spending billions on the war in Iraq for at least the next four years? How is he going to pay for it? With the growong problems in the economic sector he wants to bail out those that can afford to pay for their homes while not adressing the bad regulatory oversights of those in the government institutions and those in private financial institutions. He wants to expand our military to a bigger force by increasing the incentives for those enlisting. WHo pays for thoose incentives? Dare I say the tax payers! And all the while our pentagon get's bigger, our health services get smaller or maybe less equatable to those struggling in our current economy, our energy sector stays the same while throwing peanuts in the direction of renweable energy. Who believes this crap, seriously, maybe I am missing the boat but other than finance regarding election laws and the money that flows through them as well as being a bit of hawk on some obviuosly wasteful government military contracts what bonafides does John McCain have in his past or in his current policy outlook that suggets that he will be able to turn the economy around, make the military bigger, deal with immigration, deal with health crae policy, all the while making our government smaller and more efficient for all of us living here?

Right. The candidate who actually hasn't put forward any serious proposals tries to pile on the one who has been falsely accused of being all talk, by saying that he has big ideas without actually telling us what any of them are.

Or does he think saying the war is great and we're gonna stay until we win a big idea?
