Hillary Nabs A Super-Del
Hillary picks up the support of super-del and Pennsylvania AFL-CIO president Bill George.
That leaves five undecided super-dels in Pennsylvania.
Separately, George Stephanopoulos reported this morning that the Obama camp will roll out a bunch of supers today.
Sources tell me that right now the Obama camp is on track to roll out one more today in addition to Bruce Braley, who was announced this morning, though the sources also say there could very well be more.

Another Super for Obama today. Baron Hill, Indiana congressman, will endorse Obama tonight at the rally in Bloomington.
Hill belongs to Blue Dog Democrats. He is a memeber of IN Basketball Hall of Fame. He is in the House since 1998. Baron has a pretty progressive record in the House.
Let's hope we'll have a few more supers today.

This was in addition to Representative Bruce Braley from Iowa, who endorsed Obama this morning.

I think Obama needs to change his superdelegate strategy; he needs to roll out 5 a day for a few days in a row and close the gap between his campaign and Monster Inc.

Wow, two is a bunch.
I would not be surprised if she rolls out a bunch (more than two) after Obama's credibility and judgement was destroyed yesterday.
Unless, the dems want to lose.

True, you would not be surprised.
You will, however, be disappointed.

I complained yesterday that Obama "nabs" super-dels and Hillary "gains endorsements." That was petty beyond belief and I stand corrected. Sorry, Greg.
I know you guys are as fair as you can be and probably get blasted from both sides.

I thought Evan Bayh asked supers NOT to endorse? Hillary sure is BEGGING them to now....

She sure has trouble "nabbing" the superdelegates who are actually elected officials, doesn't she?
Maybe the fact that people who have to stand before the voters are treating Clinton like the plague would be a nice subject for one of your "clarifying" comments at the end of these posts.

they are rolling out "a bunch" or 2? i'd say that is a pretty significant difference, right?
george s. didn't say "a couple" or even "a few", but "a bunch", so i'm waiting for 5 or more to qualify as "a bunch."
george s. has been taking quite a few hits to his credibility lately...

It doesn't really matter since the current 2:1 pace is exactly the opposite of what Hillary needs if she has any hope of getting to 2025. It's, what, 9 - 4 since PA?
April 30, 2008 12:19 PM | Reply | Permalink
i count 5 since PA, but i think i'm missing one... bill george, ike skelton, mike easley, kathy sullivan, john tanner...
but that is not my point anyway. why say "a bunch" if it's 2? it's shoddy journalism (but that's a given these days... it seems pretty safe to assume that it's all shoddy journalism and be pleasantly surprised when it's not.)

I got my #s from Politico, but can't seem to find them right now.
And, you're right. You will not find me defending George Stephanopoulos.

hyperRevue;
please, don't confuse this issue with solid facts, we are running on emotion here and your realism just makes us all have to consider the sordid truth, which we are not very happy with.
Leave us to our fantasies, we will support Hill even if she's Mccain!

These super numbers are really interesting. the ones going for Clinton are totally expected -- Kathy Sullivan, the Head of the PA AFL-CIO. What's interesting is that Obama is still creaming her here AFTER Wright. This is not a good sign for my Senator.
