Hillary Campaign Hits Obama In Pennsylvania Robocalls

The attacks are flying fast in the Pennsylvania, with a new round of robocalls from the Hillary campaign going after Obama.

One call says: "Every gallon of gas takes over three bucks from your pocket. So, why would Barack Obama vote for a Bush-Cheney energy bill that has put six billion in the pockets of big oil? Enough talk. It's time for action."

And another: "Barack Obama's health care plan fails to deliver health care for every American, just what the HMO's and pharmaceutical companies want. What's more, Sen. Obama's healthcare plan imposes a $900 hidden tax on families. That's $900 more than anyone should have to pay to stay healthy."

Thanks Obama for voting for your cousin's energy bill.

I eagerly await Dick Cheney's explanation of his association with David Ayers.

Ah, the Robo Troll....commenting on a subject a bit close to home, eh gottalife(noonewouldwant)

Virtually every major paper in PA has endorsed Obama. But Hillary's making a comeback!

And so Hillary's transformation to Republican is complete! Scaife says it, so it must be true.

Who the hell actually listens to robocalls?

exactly, these things usually have the opposite of the desired effect.

why on earth did obama resort to robocalls? i'm really glad HRC has decided to go for this profoundly irritating tactic

Reading comprehension for the loss.

Check the headline.

Robots?

Only the energy bill actually raised taxes on oil companies, and her plan is actually the one Michael Moore said insurance corporations would be salivating over.

Weird. Oh well, when desperate, lie lie lie.

Hillary goes for Obama. BAM!!

Obama hits her back with a resounding punch to her jaw. BAM!!

Hillary rebounds, while laughing and getting up again. BAM!!!

Obama sticks his elitist finger out, and pokes her. BAM!!

Hillary tries to get up and brush her shoulder off.

Only the audience gets tired.

I got a TON of these kind of calls from McCain back on Super Tuesday trying to make Romney look bad.

Anyone that doesn't think McCain is a total bastard is wrong.

Be it Obama or Hillary, they have to understand that he is a total piece of shit. He puts forward this image, but on the robocalls (with his voice) he's a total and complete fraud.

Agreed with Jayasura though, they're only going to make people hate her more.

Robocalls are, in fact, the most irritating, counterproductive form of political communication known to man, but then I'm biased from only having gotten them from some of the most knuckle-dragging Republican mouth breathers in NC.

But they are cheap, which is a concern if you're finances are creaky.

Did he do that annoying little 'heh, heh' at the end? It grates on my nerves.

Has anyone else noticed the discrepancy between recommended positive & negative Obama posts vs positive/negative Clinton post?

When it's positive news, Obama gets many more recommends than Clinton.

When it's negative new, Clinton gets many more recommends than Obama.

I just find that interesting.

People recommend the posts that re-inforce their reality, and ignore the ones that contradict it.

Peculiar star...that's who you are.

Do you have to win?

Robocalls did help McCain defeat Mitt Romney.

All I can say is, I feel sorry for the people of Pennsylvania-- they have got to be so sick of all the ads, calls, mailers, etc.

I am hoping for a single-digit Clinton win and that the media doesn't get snowed by a ridiculous "comeback kid"/only Hillary can get the bowlers to vote for her narrative.

First Read today looks at the internals of the latest PA poll and it actually has a "bowlers" segment (along with gun owners, natch; no word on whether they categorize by level of bitterness). Have things really sunk this low? Yes they have.

Some one ask Hillary Rambo Clinton how she likes the results to date, in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Can she say; Missions Accomplished? Ask her.

Ask Hillary why she is more interested in destroying the Progressive, and African American base of the Democratic Party than she is in going after those who hit us on 9/11

Ask Hillary if she has ever heard of a guy named Bin Laden. Ask her why she loves starting stupid wars, talks them up all time, but just like George W. Bush, she never focuses on taking out the Master Mind of 9/11. Ask Ms. Tuzla MIstakes, to explain why she and George W. Bush love waging Stupid Wars.

Good for Hillary!

Desperate Hillary's sees her dream to be Queen slip sliding away. It won't be long till it's crying time again for Madam Tuzla Mistakes.

Since the last time we talked in this corner of the Internet, Mississippi and Texas have refined their delegate allocations—and Barack Obama has widened his delegate advantage by six. First off, Mississippi added a delegate to Obama's tally and took one away from Hillary Clinton after party officials realized they'd miscalculated the original delegate distribution. In Texas, meanwhile, the caucus results were finally certified, giving Obama a five-delegate margin overall when the caucus- and primary-delegate allocations were combined—a gain of two from our previous estimates.

Play with our still-new Flash version of the calculator below.

The biggest problem is that this campaign is more about personality than issues because the two candidates are not that different in terms of policy.
This situation reminds lots of folks of the election for senior class president, and they're behaving as if this race was nothing more than that.
If we put our thinking caps on, HRC would win hands down.
Obama needs to be seasoned another 8 years. And after that flipping-off gesture after the ABC "debate" I think he needs to work on his emotional IQ.

Maybe I am just a cranky old lady but I hate recorded phone calls. Who likes to run to the phone only to find that it is a recording. It is insulting that people think your time is so unimportant. I hang up the minute I realize there is not a person on the other end. Do these payoff? I would think they offend more people than they reach.

Actually, I think that robocalls timed to end on voice messaging machines are at least as effective as door hangers or slim mailers. The message and the messenger are important, if creatively done many people will listen and it can be effective to plant ideas and associations - negative or positive. Its here to stay and so is political texting. What is more evil and unfortunately effective is the fake polling that Bush employed against McCain in South Carolina years ago asking question about a fictional bi-racial child and the like.

Meanwhile our moral-bag Clinton voted for the noble cause of ensuring that more than 4000 americans lose their lives thousands of miles from home.Good going Hillary.
