NRCC to Dems: Return Spitzer's "Sleazy Money"

The NRCC, which is broke and in danger of sustaining more House losses, is grabbing at the Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal like a lifeline, sending out e-mails about Dem incumbents with the following title:

"Will John Hall Return Spitzer's Sleazy Money?"

So far we've received five e-mails over at TPM: Three messages targeting freshman incumbents Michael Arcuri, Kirsten Gillibrand and John Hall, plus two against challengers Dan Maffei and Eric Massa, all of whom the NRCC says are now "ensnared" in Spitzer's scandal.

Silly republicans.

attention NRCC:
It's not the money that's sleazy... it's the sex acts... perhaps if Spitzer had given them sexual gratification they could return it-- but that seems like it would only add to the sleaze....

Seriously- this is ridiculous. Sleazy money is money raised through corruption. Spitzer used the services of a prostitution ring- he didn't run one....

One dude uses a hooker so all his money is bad? Not following them on that one...

Nothing I like more than outrage over a sex scandal from the party that gave us Mark Foley, David Vitter and Larry Craig...

Also others, but those were for sure the funnest.

Lame, but predictable.

lucky I mailed a big check on Saturday to one of these fabulous Dems!

Meanwhile, ABC network news is running Spitzer as top story, Obama's speech in MS will be second story. On right now on east coast.

A full minute and 20 secs. on ABC News of Obama. Reporter quote: he "shot down the trial balloon being floated by the Clinton campaign."

Then, reporter added something I had not heard about yet: he paraphrased Hillary as saying "it's too early" to talk about the position of VP! Oh, give me a freakin' break! What an astounding double-talker.

Ha! This coming from the party where Senate Republicans gave Sen. Vitter a standing ovation? Please.

Remember in Reservoir Dogs, how they knew they had a rat because the cops showed up too quick...

The NRCC was pretty quick on the Spitzer thing. Were they ready for it?

DENOUNCE AND REJECT

Eliot Spitzer, exploiter of women

Rachel didn't sound too exploited there. I think there's a huge difference between streetwalkers- who need protection, rehabilitation and hope- and escorts. And I'll be happy to see the NRCC funding programs to help the former.

1. Yo DEMS! Keep the bucks . . . Think of it as an intervention. If you keep the money, Elliot can't spend it on cigarettes, booze and wanton women.

2. Considering the ecomonic straights the Republicans have left our country . . . Elliot Spitzer should be applauded as an one man economic engine.

3. Until (or if) legal charges are levied, this is personal matter between Spitzer and wife. Once he is proven guilty, then this becomes a matter directly effecting the public.

4. Return e-mails need to be sent to the RNC declaring that every penny given to or received from Vitter, Foley, Craig, Hastert and the Boehner NEEDS to be returned.

Sounds like a desperate cry for solvency.

The bad news is that Spitzer's career as Democratic Governor of New York is over.

The good news is that he's now eligable to run for a Louisiana Senate seat as a Republican...

It's so funny. The dems didn't do this over the vitter thing or the craig thing, but the republicans are all over spitzer claiming that they are holier than thou. What a bunch of flaming hypocrites. Pathetic.

Of course, since Republicans don't have sex except for procreation, not for fun, they're just jealous of Old Eliot, and think the fine upstanding newbie New York representatives are way too much like the Governor and HAVE TO BE STOPPED!!
