Hillary Visiting Michigan To Campaign For New Primary
Hillary Clinton is set to visit Michigan today, a last-minute addition to her schedule in order to agitate for a new primary to be held. Clinton Spokesman Mo Elleithee told the New York Times, "We will go and make the case for a revote."
The efforts to hold a new primary, after their January 29 rogue contest was stripped of any recognition by the DNC, represent a lifeline for Hillary in the delegate fight, where she's behind Obama by over 150 pledged delegates. It seems to have stalled in the legislature, though, and the Clinton team have accused the Obama camp of sabotaging the revote by not actively backing it.

I'm sorry, but why is she going there again? Didn't she say on NPR just last week that the election there was a fair one and those votes should be counted as is? Why the change of heart?

What's even worse is that her Michigan staffers are misinforming her by letting her think there is any chance that the revote will happen.
The proposed revote is now a dead letter.

As long as the von spaskys (clintons) don't disenfranchise voters, a revote is no problem. With the von spaskys' agenda, they are trying to push through a revote disenfranchising 1/2 the electorate. That's so russian. Send the clintons packing in 08.

The point is to score political points at Obama's expense. Her campaign has already complained of Obama "dragging his feet" on the issue. She will say that Obama is holding up democracy and so on and so forth. It actually is not a bad move on her part.

State Sen. Buzz Thomas -- Obama's Michigan co-chair -- was on a local Detroit channel last night giving lame excuses blaming the clerks for causing the rejection of a solution meeting Obama's demands that for an fair primary his name had to be on the ballot. The Senator was forced to acknowledge that Obama took his own name off the ballot but distorted by saying this was in compliance with DNC rules when it was merely the result of a request from New Hampshire. It is disgusting that Sen. Thomas and Obama support the privileges of the New Hampshire voters over the rights of Michigan voters.
Since Obama took his own name off the ballot those who feel they were deprived of an opportunity to vote for him should recognize that this was the result of his own decision and that the primary held was fair.
Obama does not care whether or not Michigan voters get their votes counted: he cannot count on our votes.

I hope you don't believe your own bullsh't. His own decision to follow the rules and take his name off the ballot...let's contrast that with Hillary's decision to NOT follow the rules and leave her name on, because, in her own words, "this [Michigan] election is not going to count for anything." You do your candidate no favors.

The Michigan "rogue contest" was on January 15th, NOT the 29th. Please correct the article accordingly.
