Does this specify what type of polling they were conducting? Or is it just generically referred to as polling? Seems to me it would matter. If he's polling positions, that would be a damning revelation. If he's polling his support in various states, then this doesn't matter. Without that context, it is impossible to judge this. Of course, that didn't stop Stein from reporting this so breathlessly and it certainly won't stop the Hillbots from pointing to this as evidence of something nefarious/disingenuous on his part. C'est la vie.

Seriously stupid information. So what? They take polls so they can figure out where and how they need to spend their time and resources during the campaign, not to figure out what their positions are.

Heck, even Hillary isn't doing polling for that purpose now--their positions on the issues are pretty well set for the duration right now.
