Romney Endorsing McCain
Mitt Romney is officially joining in the Republican effort to unite behind John McCain. CNN reports that Romney will endorse McCain today at an event scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET in Boston, and will ask his delegates to vote for McCain.
When he dropped out last week, Romney said that a continued primary fight would delay the launch of a national effort against the Democrats. After a brief period of mourning for his campaign, endorsing McCain was the next logical step, and definitely a necessary one if he wants to remain in the good graces of the Republican establishment.

From the desk of Mitt Romney:
I am proud to announce today that I am endorsing Senator John McCain for President of the United States of America.
I have always been for John McCain getting our parties nomination. He is the only true conservative leader in our party, and I am delighted to see that our party did not destroy itself by nominating some Liberal Governor from a North Eastern State who was not even a true Christian, like I, Mitt Romney have always been.
Gotta go now, I am off on a hunting vacation, and my Irish Setter is starting to howl from from his cage on top of the SUV.

I think this makes sense from Romney's perspective. He's gotta be pissed at Huckleberry for stealing his religious vote and basically making his investments in Iowa amount to jack-spit. (Oh, my heart bleeds purple donkey piss for him.) No way he was going to endorse the Huckster.
Romney's all about 2012 right now. He's gotta know McCain is dogmeat and he's setting himself up for a run at Obama or Hillary next cycle by being a team player.
Prediction: You will see a LOT of Romney on Fox over the next 4 years. And he'll write a book.
