New Hillary Ad Uses Debate Moment, Puts Campaign In Perspective
Hillary Clinton has a new one-minute ad in Texas and Ohio, featuring what was probably her best moment at the debate on Thursday. The candidate declared that no matter what happened to her — an implied reference to her campaign troubles — it was nothing compared to to the problems that everyday Americans face, especially the disabled veterans she visited with in Texas:

Now she uses her visit to wounded veterans in her ad, but she admits no guilt for having voted to send them into harm's way. I hope people see through this.

And, just like Bush, refusing to admit a mistake - and not learning from it, either, and continuing her stance with her Iran vote.

Wounded veterans in a war she voted for WITHOUT bothering to read the 95-page Nat. Intelligence estimate no staffer had access to?! As Sen. Clinton eloquently put is, in the words of Bill and Sen. Edwards - it is NOT about her, but about the American people. How does this make her qualified to lead, suddenly? Why should be let her do to the country what she did to her campaign? Like Pres. Bush, she has been shielded from reality by a cocoon of trusted advisors, where loyalty trumps competence. I still sincerely hope she will PROVE that she cares more about the issues and the people than about herself, and not damage the party's chances in November with a scorched-earth campaign.

I echo the comments of her own culpability in how these young souls got to where they are today.
Of course the media will look at what she's saying without presenting Obama's refutation of same with his very clear stance that votes have consequences, and we are looking at those consequences when we see young people struggling to walk to an event.
The bigger picture would be very helpful to an informed electorate. Then and only then will we be able to have a meaningful conversation about how to move forward as a country, as a people.

At long last Senator Clinton, have you no senses of decency left!
Now you are bogged down in your Political Shrillary Season.

Huh, strikes me as a little strange and out of context. I don't see how editing down less than a minute at the end of a debate serves to move undecided voters. Those following this election closely, most of whom, I assume, watched the entire debate, were surprised and probably impressed by this very very late change in tone in an otherwise typical wonky Hillary debate performance, and impressed by the contrast between the typical Hillary stump performance and this rather quiet and personal reflection. By itself the clip doesn't strike me as a particularly strong advertising vehicle. I'd suggest this is another example of the inward-looking HRC campaign that sees this as a game-changing moment, when in reality, in the context of general voter perceptions, it's just another ad with a talking head. Which is to say nothing of "too little, too late".

What I find kind of amazing is the commenters who say it couldn't possibly have been copied from JE of WJC because she was speaking off the cuff. I mean, I'm not going to say it wasn't heartfelt (though, yes, about the veterans she helped put there) but off the cuff? Seriously?

Wait...would this be that moment she "plagiarized" from Edwards and Bill right after attacking Obama for borrowing an example in one speech?
Hypocrite.

In her so-called impassioned and much ballyhooed closing remarks that shortly followed those in the video, Hillary Clinton pandered to millions of viewers with assurances of "a unified Democratic Party," but today Clinton demonstrated how patently bogus her intentions and assurances were in a harsh and incredulous attack against Barack Obama.

why doesn't a journalist actually ask her, after she finishes one of these "i've worked to fund veteran recovery programs, blah blah blah" talking points; whether she thinks she should apologize to these very veterans for her role in enabling the war.
spineless journalism is the only reason why Clinton has done as well as she has in this race.

That Hit's I'vber taken line was "plagiarized" from John Edwards in 2008 who "plagiarized" it from Bill Clinton in 1992.
Acording to attendees that huge round of applause and standing ovation at the end wasn't because of Hillary, the CNN stage hands were rousing the audience to stand and applaud for both of them.

I have come to conclusion that these politicians and their PR people think that an average american is stupid. I was involved in some school elections once when I was young and stupid but I don't think even those child's plays were this stupid, they were funny, and fun sometimes, but not this stupid. for now I'd like to believe that people are much smarter than what mark penn thinks.

Wonderful, Hillary! You cared enough for a photo-op with soldiers wounded in a war you voted to authorize without even bothering to read the assessment. And yet, many ordinary people like me had already seen enough readily available information to know that we were being lied to. Yet you were misled. How sad! And you oh so intelligent! But still and all, it wasn't your fault, and besides if there had been no war, where would you have gotten such a good photo-op to show how caring you really are?

The woman is obviously a saint. Hillary’s life experience is nothing compared to the hits we're taking everyday in this country. You know, a day without her is almost too terrible to contemplate. But the question to both candidates was: what in your life's experience best qualifies you to be president of the United States of America? Barack Obama answered by giving a brief but compelling summary of what prepared him in life for the job. Hillary launched into the above diatribe, about how everyday people take bigger hits than she does. Who would have guessed? The narrator failed to remind Hillary, that it's not the poor, sick suffering folks who are running for the office – it's her! What a charade. I watched that debate, closely; and Obama, in my humble opinion, is by far and away the better candidate. However, this is what gets me up in the morning; this is what motivates me in this campaign: http://theseedsof9-11.com

Evita Lyrics - Waltz for Eva and Che Lyrics
Musical: Evita
Song: Waltz for Eva and Che
[Che:]
Tell me before I waltz out of your life
Before turning my back on the past
Forgive my impertinent behavior
But how long do you think this pantomime can last?
Tell me before I ride off in the sunset
There's one thing I never got clear
How can you claim you're our savior
When those who oppose you are stepped on,
Or cut up, or simply disappear?
[Eva:]
Tell me before you get onto your bus
Before joining the forgotten brigade
How can one person like me, say,
Alter the time-honored way the game is played?
Tell me before you get onto your high horse
Just what you expect me to do
I don't care what the bourgeoisie say
I'm not in business for them
But to give all my descamisados
A magical moment or two
[Che and Eva:]
There is evil, ever around
Fundamental system of government
Quite incidental
[Eva:]
So what are my chances of honest advances?
I'd say low
Better to win by admitting my sin
Than to lose with a halo
[Che:]
Tell me before I seek worthier pastures
And thereby restore self-esteem
How can you be so short-sighted
To look never further than this week or next week
To have no impossible dream?
[Eva:]
Allow me to help you slink off to the sidelines
And mark your adieu with three cheers
But first tell me who'd be delighted
If I said I'd take on the world's greatest problems
From war to pollution, no hope of solution
Even if I lived for one hundred years
[Che and Eva:]
There is evil, ever around
Fundamental system of government
Quite incidental
[Eva:]
So go, if you're able, to somewhere unstable
And stay there
Whip up your hate in some tottering state
But not here, dear
Is that clear, dear?
Oh what I'd give for a hundred years
But the physical interferes
Every day more, O my Creator
What is the good of the strongest heart
In a body that's falling apart?
A serious flaw, I hope You know that

"You know, he hits I've taken in life are nothing compared to what goes on every single day in the lives of people across our country"
Of course they aren't, and they certainly are nothing like hits my friend got from an IED that cost him both legs just above the knees thanks to Hillary's vote on Iraq.
However, I think that the hits you've taken are surprisingly similar to the hits your husband have taken, aren't they my dear Senator?

Tsk, tsk. The time to think about war is before voting to support one. Now we all have to wonder if your compassion is real or fake....
