Joe Trippi: On A Beach, Out Of The Loop, And Content About It
We now interrupt our regularly scheduled programming to bring you up to speed on the whereabouts of former Edwards campaign guru Joe Trippi.
When I reached him moments ago on his cell to ask him about the possibility of an Edwards endorsement, Trippi said he was out of the loop.
"I'm lying on a beach in Key West," he said.
When I asked him if he wanted us to put out word about this, Trippi joked that it might be a good idea, because it would perhaps get people to stop interrupting his beach time to ask him about Edwards' plans.
"It might stop all the calls I'm getting," Trippi said, in his customary wry way.

And doesn't Key West have about 8 square feet of beach?

My first thought as well. There are no beaches in Key West.

Word from a friend of mine on the ground in maryland. A chardonay sipping "white" liberal precinct area had 97% turnout as of 10:30 a.m. this morning. Also, heard on the radio that turnout was heavy. Holy cow!!!!!

How wonderful for Joe Trippi!
Instead of obsessing over the elections like the rest of us geeks, he's outdoors, out of the loop, and probably getting much-needed mental health break.

Joe Trippi was reportedly in tears (according to this: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/31/us/politics/31edwards.html) when Edwards suspended his campaign. I'm kinda glad to hear he's kicking back on a beach right now.

Trippi is being lippy. Am I supposed to believe that after his position in the Edwards campaign he has nothing to do with this dance between Edwards, Obama, and Clinton? Why can't these guys just be honest for once and say 'No Comment'?
