SurveyUSA: McCain Up By Two In Florida, With Serious Mittmentum Afoot
The new SurveyUSA poll in Florida gives John McCain a very narrow lead over Mitt Romney, who is himself catching up very quickly. Here are the results, compared to the numbers from four days ago:
McCain 30% (+5)
Romney 28% (+9)
Giuliani 18% (-2)
Huckabee 14% (+0)
Paul 6% (-1)
It really does seem like Fred Thompson's exit from the race was a boon for Romney. Fred had 7% support in the previous poll, and it looks like Mitt got the lion's share of it.

If you're waiting for a TPM-EC article on this, I wouldn't hold your breath. Or at least, expect it to spin it as easily explained away. Heck, even Hillary's "FactHub" blog doesn't have a good explanation, merely claiming (and I don't believe this for a second) that Rezko has never donated any money to either Hillary or Bill. SURE he hasn't. Guys who don't donate any money to your campaign, they get photo ops with the President all the time, don't they? Like, you know, if they win the Super Bowl or something.

How do the numbers correlate with TV ad spending for Mitt vs. McCain?
(No amount of spending could rescue Rudy.)

I think that mccain is getting the lion's share of mr. 9/11's former support as well. As mr. 9/11 tanked, mccain has gone up.

Hillary's Abramoff Moment...
I'm sorry, this was not an Abramoff moment, unless, by that you mean nothing will happen. [Bush has so far gotten away clean. MSM has forgotten about it] Having a picture taken with a "slumlord" {what's so bad about slumlords? not everyone can or wants to buy a house in the suburbs. I lived in a slum. Thank god there was a landlord] is not a crime. Not that I support Clinton.

There is a remarkable flood of Drudge wannabes (or one very disturbed individual) on this site and others. They keep posting the same utterly insignificant video moment of a Timmy Russert wannabe, Matt Lauer. Believe me Matt, you're no Timmy. It takes a certain art of sleaze to reach his depths.
I would guess they are Obamabots, gleefully playing at grown-up politics, sadly, without a clue. NEWS FLASH! of the tens of thousands (literally) of meet 'n greet photographs that Hillary has had taken at fund raisers and political events over her somewhat puzzling, "35 years", you will find Ronald Reagan, Karl Rove, Billy Carter and Susquatch. Take off the Fedora and come back to Earth, sonny. This is not the Hill Killer you seem to think it is.

I think your correct, there are those who can admire the stance that McCain did on the GWOT while stating categorically that he did not support the torture or the policies of Rumsfeld, and also stated: "I would rather lose an election than a war."
Irrespective of how we got there, our manner of leaving Iraq will not go unnoticed, and I feel he has the best qualifications on day one to take over the oval office and make good decisions for this nation.
If he wins FL I'll enter the GOP cycle this year and cut him a check, I contributed to him in 2000 and felt he was right then on policy, and do so still now.
Here is my bet: Fred Thompson gets allot of votes despite dropping out of the race, my bet is that he gets more votes than Paul.

I believe Rudy is gaining back ground as seen in todays polls and he is the only candidate capable of handling a government with economical issues and terrorism. He has a proven track record. John McCain though a nice guy has Post Traumatic stress Disorder from being held hostage which could cause problems as a Commander in Chief. Mitt knows little about terrorism and Rudy is loved and respected globally........why is this even a question to voters?

I thought it would have sufficed to say that Rudy didn't reflect the sensibilities of most Americans in the NYT endorsememt of McCain.
But their editorial did pretty well sum up the sentiments though few are that candid outside of the blogsphere.
He was the one candidate I simply would not have voted for.
