Rudy Ad In Florida: Ignore All That Talk About Other People Currently Winning

Rudy Giuliani has a new ad in Florida, a state that is central to his big-state strategy — which practically no observers think can succeed — asking voters to ignore what the pundits have to say about who's actually winning, and instead think about the issues:

"The media loves process. Talking heads love chatter," the announcer says. "But Florida has a chance to turn down the noise. And show the world that leadership is what really matters."

This is the most pathetic thing I have ever, ever seen. I think watching the downfall of Rudy is one of the most entertaining things about this election cycle.

Tested, vetted and ready to lead, oh all because of, never forget, and always live in fear because of 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, 9/11 . . . Did I forget to mention 9/11?

Nine!

Eleven!!

Rudy's campaign is self-satirizing...!

Rude-ee,

The $19.95 you spent on the Dr. Mezmo Hypno Ray Ring was a bust.

If you were on speaking terms with Romney, Paul and Tancredo you woulda known not to waste the money or collect the box tops.

I bet you could reprogram Rudy to say "Ron Paul" instead of "9/11". That'd be kinda cool.

Does anyone else notice the rhythm pushing Rudy's talking points of fear? It's present in a lot of his ads, but it's a little freaky.

The past couple years have been too good to us in terms of schadenfreude, and Rudy's demise is really the cherry on top.

The thing is, the ad is dead right about the media and the shoddy state of campaign "journalism." Too late to save the President of Nine Eleven, I'm afraid.

well, last i heard, rudy was polling 4th in FL, so maybe a big loss there will actually shut him up. but i wouldn't bet on it

Rudy Giuliani and Ron Paul are the only two candidates that I would NOT support and for identical reasons on the flip side of the coin.

Rudy Giuliani is narcistic in as much as it is 'all about Rudy Giuliani' and his 7-year old 5-minute moment of fame, right up there with Jessica Lynch re-runs on the History channel, and the narrative is always the same: ME-RUDY-911 and I think that there is something mentally deficient there, a narcistic psychosis that we all want to leave behind but that Rudy clings to as his identity. Similar to Namor Young, Cassaundrea Montgomery, Rosalba Wild, all who were charged with Insurance fraud, there was Tania Head who just vicariously lived off of the event, where plying upon the trajedy all sought financial and personal gain. I find it repugnant and think Rudy would better serve the GOP by wrapping hismelf in a flag and just being the common type of scoundrel.

And then there is Ron Paul, whom refused to repudiate the vein of radical GOP thought of the white-supremists, refused to just 'take a stand' and repudiate that segment of the GOP. I have no illusions that there was, is, and remains a segment of the GOP that is racist, anti-semitic, and frankly klan based. These people on the fringe in 1992 entered the Ross Perot movement 'uninvited' and made power grabs to hijack the movement and the organization. This is documented in MD and the simple response, the tough response, was to simply say 'NO' to that segment of the party. There is no easy way to make that objection to that minority fringe, and yes they exist, but principles mandate that you do so, and that courage is lacking in Ron Paul.

One myoptically and psychotically claims it is all about Rudy, the other abdicates any and all responsibility to repudiating a segment of the party that is focused on promoting a hate based ideology.

I can vote for McCain, MIT, or Huck.. but would stay home if by some strange twist Rudy or Ron would actually win the GOP primary.

Fascinating to watch both of these two, but wouldn't vote for either.
