Ron Paul Raises Almost $20 Million In Fourth Quarter

Say what you want about Ron Paul and his supporters, but his fans are certainly willing to put their money where their mouths are. The campaign has announced that they raised almost $20 million for the fourth quarter, quite possibly beating the rest of the Republican field for final quarter before the primaries.

The exact number has yet to be released, and probably has not been calculated by the campaign itself. But in all likelihood, Paul will have beaten Fred Thompson for the quarter — though it probably won't count for much in terms of Paul's exclusion from the upcoming Fox News debate.

What is this guy doing with his money anyways? The only time he seems to make news is on a talk show or at a debate. Is he actively campaigning anywhere? Is he running commercials?

My guess is he's saving it for an independent run in the general.

Why was he excluded from the Fox News Debate? Is it a political move by the host?

flanderz and apostropher, depending on where you live and if you're a tv/radio person, you may not see/hear his ads until the campaign can fund ads for your state. They've made numerous ads for Iowa/New Hampshire and moving into Nevada and other early primary/caucus states. With the millions of dollars pouring in during Q4, the campaign is funded to advertise through Feb. 5th. You can see a listing of ads here: http://www.ronpaul2008.com/video-network/ and here: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ron+paul+ads or here:

The exclusion of Ron Paul from the upcoming Fox debate is a political move in order to make him appear as a second tier candidate. They ignore facts such as his fundraising success as, which is ALL from individual donors, NOT political action committees, corporations, OR special interest groups.

The MSM is going to look mighty silly after tonight. What's happening with Ron Paul makes politics as usual completely irrelevant. The polls are meaningless. Politics is being redefined. The mainstream news has to start covering Ron Paul or they will basically become entirely irrelevant.

Ron Paul is the only Republican running on as a true conservative.
