Poll: Rudy's National Support Fell By Half In The Last Six Weeks
The new AP/Ipsos poll has some bad news for Rudy Giuliani: The early losses he's suffered have caused his national numbers to plummet since the last poll from six weeks ago — in fact, his support has fallen by half.
The GOP numbers: McCain 22% (+9), Huckabee 16% (-2), Romney 16% (+4), and Rudy 13% (-13).
The Democratic numbers: Clinton 40% (-5), Obama 33% (+10), Edwards 13% (+1).

I'm continually amazed by Rudy's campaign strategy of going 8 straight weeks without a single positive news story. Not winning a primary is one thing, but don't you have to win a news cycle once in a while?

Not such bad news for Hillary. The poll shows that she is in a tight race but maintains a lead. This poll is much better for her than some of those released around the time of the NH primary. The changes noted are between and AP/Ipsos poll released now vs. 6 weeks ago. Everyone knows that Obama has picked up support since then. Obviously, some of Clinton's support on pre-primary polls was very soft. But, some of Obama's newfound support after Iowa was also soft. Anyone who has been watching knows these things already.
What we don't know yet are the ceilings of support for Clinton and Obama.

if huckabee can go from 4% to 16% in a month after winning Iowa then rudy can go back up to 22% after winning Florida.
it doesn't matter now what his national numbers are. after he wins a few big states it all changes (my friend) as mccaine would say...he was dead too before a win.

Why does one assume the fall is due to his losing the primaries? Might it be attributed to all of the news stories about his "sex on the city" escapades and having the NYPD walk his lover's dog?

Rudy's only remaining strategy is to remain a candidate (he will never win the nomination outright) and pray for a brokered convention.

Now it's perhaps time to cheer on the reanimation of the dead: if 9iu11iani wins Florida it can only hurt McCain, who I think at this point is the strongest GOP candidate, so the weaker he is, the better. Far better for Dems if the brokering is among four rather than three candidates.

These are just a few of the obvious reasons Romney is the most electable candidate for the Republican party.
1. We need his economic expertise and experience creating and holding jobs. He has real world experience dealing in today's global marketplace. Without a strong economy, nothing else works. Romney is or best hope to grow our economy. Many people consider Romney an economic genius.
2. Romney has a history of asking the right questions, listening intently, evaluating carefully and decisively LEADING. He brings new vision, efficiency, and energy to every endeavor
3. Romney has impeccable integrity and high standards. He is absolutely trustworthy.
4. Romney stands firmly in support of our constitution. He supports states rights and individual rights. He is committed to the preservation of our freedoms.
5. Romney is strong on education. While his was governor, Massachusetts students ranked #l in the nation in education. He will encourage innovation in technology and research and development to find answers to the energy crisis. Romney is an exceedingly intelligent man and proven problem solver!
6. Romney is committed to a strong national defense. He will protect our borders and keep our nation safe. He is also an excellent negotiator.
7. Romney will work to ensure our laws are enforced, our borders are secure, and illegal immigration is controlled.
8. Romney is a self-made man who owes no one favors. He will bring fresh voices and new ideas to the table. Romney will bring dignity and respect to the office of President.
9. Romney is a committed family man. He supports socially conservative values and walks the walk in his personal life.
10. Romney has strong grass roots support all across the west. He is an excellent strategist and a winner.
