Poll: Hillary, McCain Lead In Connecticut
A new poll from the University of Connecticut gives Hillary Clinton and John McCain the leads in their respective primaries for this Super Tuesday state:
Democrats:
Clinton 41%
Obama 27%
Edwards 9%Republicans:
McCain 39%
Giuliani 16%
Romney 11%
Huckabee 8%
Thompson 6%
Some more bad news for Rudy, with his February 5 strategy: The Connecticut Republican primary is a winner-take-all contest — so if he lost here by even one point, he wouldn't get a single delegate.

Bah, screw Connecticut, hello President McCain.
Thanks Hillbots.

I've done an analysis of the Republican delegate race and what could happen in the remaining states. This nomination looks like it's definitely McCain's to lose... but it was interesting to map out on a spreadsheet and see where the important contests are likely to be.
I predict McCain will have a strong February 5th and then wrap things up on March 4th in Texas and Ohio. If Romney is doing better than expected, it could make Pennsylvania on April 22nd pretty important.
Here's the link to my analysis:

I've also done the Democratic race:

I'll hate what a Clinton nomination will do to our party (losing Congress and losing the presidency, when it should have been a piece of cake), but I have to admit there will be one tiny little sparkle of satisfaction, and that will be when all of the nasty dirty despicable tactics the Clintons have employed in their power grab, their win-at-all-costs strategy, results in NOTHING, in her being an electoral loser, and it all being for nothing. They will have accomplished nothing but showing the country how nasty their characters really are, and how closely they resemble the GOP when they try to destroy whoever gets in their way. Seeing them go down will be poetic justice, and I'll take satisfaction in it only because it will be karma taking its course, because they don't deserve to win. But seeing the party and the country go down with them will be incredibly sad and frustrating. We had an amazing opportunity for a fresh start, and we threw it away, even though many of us were smart enough to know better. That day will be a dark dark day.
Thanks indeed..

I am a Clinton supporter and after having read the article in the Chicago Sun-Times, I find that Barack Obama has done nothing wrong.
However, we all know that if the exact same thing (in fact it has)happened to Senator Clinton the Obama supporters would be accusing her of being corrupt.
Let's look at the facts folks, not our own pre-disposed mind set.

Republicans might really want to be careful about not nominating McCain. Two new polls released this week-end have Democrats winning in Virginia and Kansas (two VERY red states) against all Republicans but McCain who crushes both Obama and Clinton and who runs 15% better than his fellow GOPers. Another white woman endorses Obama.
This will upset the two Clintons.

Bravo Alan! It's good to see a supporter of Clinton admit that there is no "there there" regarding the Rezko investigation. I hope, Alan, that other Clinton supporters will take your lead. I strongly doubt it, however. After all, mud is mud, and the race is tight. Throwing mud around to see what might stick seems to be a hallmark of the Clinton campaign.
Kefa, don't you think that if Clinton thought there was any advantage that could be gained from the Rezko situation, she wouldn't have exploited it by now? Perhaps she, like Alan, realize there is nothing substantive in the case.
I really wish the Hillbots who continually post links to this thing would just stop. Do you really believe the "media" supports Obama? Please! You almost sound like one of those Republican conspiracy theorists who continually talk about the "Main Stream Media" as if it were some top down organization that has a particular agenda. Eric Alter wrote a wonderful book, "What Liberal Media?" that dispels that myth, and the notion that there is some nefarious purpose at work. Give it a read.

At least, the other blogs show it. Somehow, this site does not see fit to link to this very important news from chicago suntimes. Isn't your lover boy supposed to be born with superb judgement? what about his judgement on this sleazy guy. Oh, yea, that's the only case and only case ever he may have bad judgement. He has used up his only allowance of bad judgement from the almighty!

American Research Group
Mid-date: 12/3/2007

Added: 12/8/07
Est. MoE = 4.0% [?]
Hillary Clinton 45%
Barack Obama 18%
John Edwards 14%
Dennis Kucinich 4%
Joe Biden 4%
Bill Richardson 2%
Chris Dodd 2%
Unsure 11%
Well--if Barack made up 21 out of this 27 point lead in Nevada----I wonder if he can eat away at the 14 point deficit in Connecticut just enough to win more delegates than Hillary.

Hey Grover_rover,
Is that long passage a prayer or a curse? Maybe you need to go to some voodoo alter with candles and recite that a few times. Don't forget to throw a few bat wings in the potion.
I can't wait until tomorrow because your postings become more ridiculous and pathetic every day.

Alan,
I don't think much is going to come of that Sun Times story. I'm not going to tear down Obama that much, either. I don't think he has done that much to get angry about in this campaign. I just think he should have waited to get a little more experience before running for president.
While I don't knock Obama, I take great pleasure in slashing many of his idiotic, moonbat supporters posting on these pages. So, if you want to be fair, blame them rather than him.

Of course. Anyone pointing to the inanity and nastiness of the Obama worshiping cult must of course be mebers of an equally inane and nasty cult. Of course.

You think the people over at RedState are busy calling each other "wingnut"? No, that language is reserved for people denigrating an entire ideology. Lambert is a troll, and apparently although not necessarily, so are you.
Obama supporters tend to be passionate, but so are Edwards supporters and Clinton supporters. And I've seen a bunch of vitriolic stuff from all of them. The impassioned nature of their supporters is one very real reason why Edwards, Obama and Clinton outlasted the Biden's and the Richardson's in this race. But to take personally a disagreement with someone claiming to be a supporter of a political candidate and attributing what was said to that candidate is silly. I know I vehemently disagree with the logic and tactics of many Clinton supporters here, but I know that there are a lot of people who just troll to create controversy for their own amusement and I don't take statements here as indicative of Hillary Clinton's campaign. Although, to be honest, in light of the past two weeks, that's become much more difficult.
But there is no "Obama worshiping cult" any more than there is a "Clinton worshiping cult". These candidates all have a good deal of appeal for the people supporting them, and attempting to denigrate that support makes you appear petty.

hello_world,
I may be a bit of a troll sometimes but I am not a Freeper. And, you are wrong, there is an "Obama worshipping cult" to whom the Clintons are Judas and we infidels are like those who cried, "Free Barabbas!"
I don't categorize all Obama supporters this way and I am more than happy to be respectful to the ones who see this as a primary contest with especially good candidates and understand that there are plenty of rational, legitimate reasons to back any of the candidates.
Yes, the "moonbat" word is a Freeper term. Formerly, I resented the term when hearing it from Cons but now I've discovered that the term is sometimes fitting.
And the screen name is "Lombard" not "Lambert."
