NY Sun: Hillary Camp Likely To Drop Negative Ads Until Feb. 5
If people were expecting the Democratic race to get down and dirty — keeping in mind those pre-New Hampshire reports that Hillary's backers would set up a 527 to go after Obama — that might not be the plan, after all. The New York Sun reports that the Hillary camp is likely to scrap plans for negative ads, at least until Super Tuesday
"I would be very wary of being the first to draw blood," said John Lapp, a Dem ad maker who is not affiliated with any of the campaigns. "You have such an advantage doing the response, being able to call the other person negative, and then you go ahead and lower the boom."

So this waving of the white flag is the response to Obama saying that he was use to the rough and tumble politics of Chicago after Hillary's negative campaign smears?
riiiiight...now Obama is the bad guy if he counterpounches.
Gotcha.
Gender politics and whinning females, what a crock.

Yeah, the Clintons also said after Iowa and before NH that they wouldn't go negative, and then unleashed the most negative and despicably false and disingenuous attacks of the entire campaign.
All the Clintons have is negativity and lies. They are going completely GOP for this, and they have shown nothing will stop them from regaining power.
There is no way in hell the Clintons will play nice, it isn't their style.

Yeah, right. I'll believe that when I see it. It's more of a response from the negative feedback the Clinton campaign is getting from their latest round of dirt. The Clintons gave us deregulation of the utility companies which led to Enron. The Clintons gave us NAFTA and GATT which has led to an exodus of thousands of jobs. The Clintons gave us most favored nation trade status with China which led to an influx of lead-based products into the U.S. Can they be trusted on anything they say? I don't think so.

What qualifies as negative? Would Barack calling out Hillary's front-runner status and vast experience as a fairy tale qualify as an attack? The Clintons are going to cost the Democrats this race.

Too late. They've already shot themselves seriously in the foot. They can either limp on one foot... or go negative again, in underhanded ways, and end up in a wheelchair or on crutches.
The black community and all of us who believe in racial equality will not forget.

The headline here is a mite confusing. When I saw "likely to drop negative ads" I thought you meant "drop" in the sense as "drop a bomb" - that is to say, I thought you meant that they were planning to run a set of negative ads between now and Feb 5. I gather from the text of the post, however, that this means that they are planning not to run negative ads. You might want to revise that headline to avoid confusion.

No need for Clinton to go negative. Obama is sorta self destructing together with his dirty little friend Rezko.

This is setting up the narrative that if Obama responds to her negative attacks over the last week or so, that he was the first to go negative and has abandoned his politics of hope.
It's a transparent stunt.
Grant: Nice inneundo. Too bad you have no investigation, indictment or anything of the like to point to. Just that Rezko is on trial for his own actions. I swear you follks are pretty pathetic.

grant,
you sound like a joke, the clintons have done hundreds of shady dealings and you accuse Obama of Rezko dealings? Please read facts before writing your stupidity, there is nothing bad than giving ignorant people a key board and a computer.

Top Down:
I feel very proud of the inspiration that I am. People tell me all the time that I'm a role model, I'm their hero; and I'm very proud of that. But you know, when the cameras go away, when the reporters finally get to go home, when the lights are down, what matters is who the leader really is.

So when do we get to see the adds about teh Marc Rich pardon. About the 27000 dollars he contributed to her campaign. To his public thanks to the "First Couple"
as he put it. What about the fact that she was stealing the whitehouse furniture. What about the add asking if in this speriod of time when we will be looking at violations of privacy do we really want someone in the whitehouse who had the private FBI files of her political enemies.
Lets get in on

Shorter Hillary: "We're not going to waste money on TV ads that I have to endorse onscreen when I can have my surrogates slander Obama in the free media I'm getting after NH".
