New Obama Ad In NH: He Opposed The War, Can Get Things Done
Barack Obama has this positive ad up in New Hampshire, reminding voters that he opposed the Iraq War five years ago, and promoting him as the best candidate to unite a divided country and get things done:

Caveat: there is a ton of time yet.
Having said that, this guy is making a believer out of me. I've talked to people that barely nod towards elections going gaga over Obama. I haven't seen enthusiasm like this since 68. If this isn't a flash, the momentum could crush the GOP and make obstructionism in congress look like suicide.

He's the most charismatic speaker in a generation. He'll take Hawaii, of course.

This is a GREAT ad. Obama has the right balance of judgement, experience and vision to be President of the US.
Fired up! Ready to Go!

I'm not usually so much on political ads one way or the other, but that's a good one. Reminds me of the superb commercials Eliot Spitzer aired during his 2006 gubernatorial bid.
Let's hope Obama's election outcome was as good as Spitzer's... and his first year in office is much, much better.

I actually didn't like that one as much. The narrator wasn't nearly as good as Barack himself, which is what they usually do. I also didn't like the score, or the way they started off in b&w - it can be done effectively with the right photos, but the ones they used (specifically the ones with his head down) make it look like an attack ad against him. Not terrible, but not very good. Especially in light of some of the great ones they had earlier.
That one with the newspaper endorsements inserted into his J.J. speech was the best I've seen.

Wow..that is one sexy ad.
I am really glad he is emphasizing his opposition to the war. In my opinion, the whole "experience" motif dissolves very quickly when you watch the interviews and statements he was making in 2002 --versus what Hillary and Edwards were doing. Judgment trumps experience! Anyway, this is a great ad.

Also, what's up the all the "cool" one-word names for all the ads this season?
"Would." Seriously?

This one was stronger on the substance, weaker on the presentation.
In my opinion, Obama's best ads are his emotion appeal, direct to camera, like the Iowa one from a couple months ago where he says to the camera "I'm asking YOU to believe, not just in my ability to change this country, I'm asking you to believe in yours." He needs to play up the "We Are An Army For Change" meme, because that enhances his perception of electability by showcasing his "theory of change".
I also thought his two-minute ad the day before the caucuses was a masterful emotional appeal. "I will always tell you what I think and where I stand. I will be honest about the challenges we face. I will listen to you even when we disagree. I will open the doors of government and allow the American people back in."
