McCain Raises Over $7 Million This Month
Here's some good news for John McCain: The once-moribund candidate was really able to pick up in fundraising this month, taking in more than $7 million — and the month isn't even over yet.
But McCain isn't in the clear yet. In addition to his $3 million in outstanding debts, he'll still have to raise even more money to compete on Super Tuesday and simultaneously campaign in those various states, and all in a very short period of time. And it's not yet known how much of that $7 million he's already had to spend in the primary contests so far.
By comparison, Mitt Romney has had better fundraising overall, and can write himself a big check if he needs more cash.

I kid you not!

If he loses Florida, McCain is still in trouble.
I knew Hillary and Bill would win the slumlord vote.

How on earth is a photo of the Clinton's with Rezko a "gotcha"? It's hardly equivalent to a 17 year relationship with the dude as a major campaign fundraiser. There are probably pictures of the Clinton's with Tom Delay too, an even bigger criminal.

That's true Michelle. I guess compared to the Clintons' relationship with the likes of convicted felon Norman Hsu, their relationship to Rezko probably isn't much of a "gotcha."

Tony Rezko raised all of $200,000 for Obama over more than a decade in a bunch of different races. In the early 1990s Rezko was a low income housing developer who worked with community groups to build and rehab much needed low income housing on Chicago's south side. As a young lawyer Obama did 5 hours of work incorporating some of these community groups so they could enter into these ventures with Rezko's company. Rezko didn't become a slum lord until his finances started falling apart after he got in trouble with Patrick Fitzgerald.
When Obama became an IL state senator there's no evidence he ever voted on any legislation to advance Tony Rezko's interests.
Rezko raised and contributed lots of money to lots of candidates and their parties over the years.
The reason Governor Blagojavitch didn't suffer from his involvement with him in last year's election is because Repubs like congressmen Mark Kirk, Ray LaHood and IL House Minority leader Tom Cross all took his cash.
The Clintons had their picture taken with Rezko because he contributed to the Democratic party. I wouldn't be surprised to see a pic of him with a smiling George Bush. He contributed $7000 to him.
For Hillary to claim Obama "represented" a slum lord is a hypocritical attack. Now she says we should get back to the issues.
Yes we should, Barack beats her badly on the issues.
