ARG: McCain's NH Lead Slipping — But He's Still Way Ahead

Today's American Research Group poll in New Hampshire shows John McCain's lead is starting to decrease — but it might be so big that there isn't any time left for the trend to really change the outcome.

Here are the numbers, compared to yesterday's tracking poll:

McCain 35% (-4)
Romney 27% (+2)
Huckabee 12% (-2)
Giuliani 10% (+3)
Paul 7% (+1)

McCain leads Romney 33%-29% among core Republicans, and 44%-18% among independents.
