Huckabee: Romney Won't Get The Nod Because He's Dishonest
The gloves are definitely off, over in the Republican race. Appearing on CNN this morning, Mike Huckabee ripped into Mitt Romney. "I think a lot of people are deceived," Huckabee said, "and you have to ask do people want to elect a president who has been dishonest in order to get the job and said things about his opponents that simply aren't true?"
Huckabee pledged to support the Republican nominee, but went further in laying out why he doesn't think Romney will get it: "I don't believe Mr. Romney is going to get there because I think Republican voters are looking for somebody who really not just reflected in his recent rhetoric, but actually reflected in his record a Republican record, a conservative record, a pro-life, pro-Second Amendment record and that's not what they're going to find if they keep looking."

Huckabee has changed his rhetoric more than anyone else running. Was weak on immigration now wants to be strong, was weak on taxes now wants to lower them, expanded government the last 10 years now wants to reduce it, has been weak on ethics and public trust and know wants to be the moral leader of the country.

What an interesting juxtaposition.

Hell, Huckleberry is almost as big of a huckster at the hairdo.

Huckabee says, "Oh, the governor doesn't grant paroles, the parole board does." What he doesn't say -- though four of the six living parole board members do -- is that he went to the parole board, went into illegal private session with them, throwing out the reporters who should have had access by law -- and then pressured them to release the rapist DESPITE having received letters from OTHER women he had raped, DESPITE the guy's own confession to multiple murders in Cambodia -- simply because a fellow Baptist minister told him the man was a fine convert. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_DuMond
Huckabee is lying about the parole board and heaven knows what else. Giuliani is lying about hiding the expenses to have the police walk his mistress's dog and drive her relatives to stores. Romney's lying about his real beliefs on abortion, gun control, and gay rights. Fred Thompson is lying about his abortion record (as a paid lobbyist for abortion rights!) McCain lies about abortion too, hoping everyone will forget his pro-choice answer on a Wednesday in his 2000 campaign, which he retracted that Friday after getting slapped around all Thursday long.
Is there even ONE Republican candidate who isn't lying through his teeth about his real beliefs? About his own past?
Try to choose wisely, grasshoppers.
