Grassley: Obama And Romney Will Win Iowa Caucuses — But Hillary Will Still Win Nomination
Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) is standing by his earlier prediction that Mitt Romney will win the Iowa caucus, albeit with Mike Huckabee a close second — and he also thinks Barack Obama will triumph on the Democratic side.
In an interview with the Des Moines Register, he also said he thinks Hillary Clinton could possibly come in third. "I think Edwards is going to come out of Iowa looking better than he does nationally, and it may even help him nationally," Grassley said — although he still predicts that Hillary will be the Dem nominee.

Sounds about right to me...
All the puffing and huffing will not change the "inevitable"....

Well, throw another republican onto the human pyramid supporting Hill's inevitability meme. I see Bush and Rove wiggling around down there. I wonder when they are planning to pull out.

Chuck Grassley should lose both his job as Iowa's Senator for not supporting the "whoever Iowa anoints is the best vetted candidate and deserves to win the nomination" meme and his role as an amateur political pundit for likely getting both of these picks wrong.
Doesn't he believe in the infallibility of the Iowa Caucus?!
I think the opposite is looking more likely. Romney loses to Huck in Iowa but wins NH, SC and the GOP nomination. Obama beats Hillary in Iowa and goes on to win NH, SC, and the Dem nomination.

I agree with bupalos regarding all republicans supporting the hillary is inevitable garbage. Everything they've tried to do to Obama has failed. Even everything Clinton has done at Obama is not doing well.

Of course, as we discussed elsewhere, it has been a long time since someone won both Iowa and NH and didn't win the nomination--and that was Muskie, who was the original frontrunner in 1972.

I believe Barack Obama has a new vision
for America, and i believe he will win the Iowa caucases hands down. With the
state of the union being what it is, at
the hands of the Bush administration,
I believe this country cannot, and will
not allow for 4 more years of the same
old politics. God Bless Barack Obama, and
God Bless these United States of America!!
