Top New Hampshire Story: Romney Meets The Monitor
Here's today's key story out of the New Hampshire local press: The Concord Monitor has a largely positive take on Mitt Romney after he met with their editorial board. The paper says how Romney might appear stiff or insincere in a debate or campaign even setting, "But put him in a boardroom and Romney shines."
"Romney hit the right points when outlining the problems the next president will face," the Monitor wrote, mentioning Romney's knowledge of international problems as well as domestic issues. There was a catch, though: "He was much less specific, and credible, in discussing solutions," such as his categorical rejection of tax increases for any problem, and his lack of specifics on Social Security.

Put him in a boardroom and he shines. Yes, indeedy, that's what I want in a President - someone who is awkward with real people, but comfortable cozied up to the rich and powerful.
