Thompson: Fox News Is Biased Against Me

This is a first: A Republican has now complained that Fox News is biased. During his appearance today on Fox News Sunday, Fred Thompson complained that the Fox network has been habitually putting down his candidacy.

Thompson told Chris Wallace, "for you to highlight nothing but the negatives in terms of the polls and then put on your own guys who have been predicting for four months, really, that I couldn't do it, kind of skew things a little bit. There's a lot of other opinion out there."

Something else that's really unfair in media treatment is how Romney is allowed to spend millions of his own money running ads in NH and blanketing the early states... but does not to disclose how much of his money he has donated until January 31st, after all the early voting is finished.

I wish I could easily dismiss the Thompson campaign, but I think that would be underestimating to political power of the republicans in the deep-south.

The only candidate they have in the race is Thompson. If his candidacy is still alive when they go to vote, they could put him atop the race.

Oh my what a shame....poor Grandpa!! And I agree with B... You can't count this moron out! I think Grandpops will run strong in the deep south...I mean let's face it, he's their kind of guy..a real Gomer Pyle..

He may contend, but he won't win...

It took him this long to figure this out?

Or maybe the folks who wipe his chin and change his diapers whispered it in his ear.

Fox chairman/CEO Roger Ailes is a long-time friend of Rudy Giuliani. Fox has so politicized news coverage bolstering conservatives and Republicans against liberals and Democrats, it was bound to eventually enter into rival Republican politics.

The McCain campaign also charged bias when Fox insisted that it not use Fox footage in ads or on its website, even though Rudy does it frequently. I imagine Romney will have a few words about Fox when they play on evalgelical suspicion of Mormanism.

South Mason/Dixon partisan rebels ‘been out-foxing damn Union Yankee Democrats since the mass exodus to the GOP, back when Jesus changed sides.

THE PLAN / NO MATTER WHAT: Republican, or democrat, presidential power must go to a Confederate - bottom line.

Thompson is the only viable, Southerner -his rags to riches story fits mythology like corn on the cob; throw in the big, stern, loving, father image - like in the movies - they love it.

Over the last half century, Copperhead immigrant/missionary evangelicals infiltrated northern rural communities; it’s been a circus: everyone was listening to country music, wearing cowboy boots, drivin’ a Ford truck, goin’ to church, and learned line dancin’ - God Bless America / the New Economy. Now, people are not so sure.

There are many well intended citizens who didn’t know what they were voting for, so they elected him again, just to make sure.... All of a sudden, can’t find anyone who will admit they voted for Bush.... As I recall, Einstein’s definition of insanity is a person who keeps making the same mistake over-and-over, expecting different results. Hope springs eternal.

FOX DIN: Thompson is not the right stuff. Fox and stink-tank sectateurs
see him as loyal, but not crooked enough to continue Constitutional revisionism - trashing inalienable rights - fixing the unitary executive theory. If Thompson was all our neocon brothers and sisters had to offer, would Fox support him? So it must be that Fox has someone else in mind. Fox got caught culling the competition, trying to strangle Thompson in his crib.... Want to guess how them chittlin’s will taste, up-and-down red state north/south?

Not only is Fred Thompson a coward, a letch, a weasel, and a lazy-ass, apparently he is a baby. Boo-hoo. I don't remember him voicing his displeasure with Fixed News the last 6 years.

God I love it when the Repubic-hens eat their own.

I feel his pain. I really do.

Huckabee is a serious threat to Fred. Both are Southern and they split the Southern votes especially if Huck runs 2nd in IA and Fred runs 4th.

Fred insisted on running a virtual campaign. That only works as long as the media do the heavy lifting for you. Fox has always been in the Rudy camp. They only wanted Fred in the race to split the anti Rudy vote.

Fred's biggest problem is his campaign. He takes most of the right positions but he is pretty consistently 2 months slow on strategy and tactics. He has enough money to make life interesting but he may have already lost SC and will if Huck beats him in IA.

Giulianni helped launch FOX in the NYC market as mayor. He's their guy, to the point where they will support Democrats,[Clinton and Obama] that they think he can beat.

I notice the 'poll tracker' still only contains the names of 2 Democrats. The race is almost over, according to TPM.
