Romney Downplays Robertson's Endorsement Of Giuliani
Mitt Romney was asked today in South Carolina whether he thinks Pat Robertson's endorsement of Rudy Giuliani will have an impact in attracting Christian conservatives to the Rudy camp. His answer, Jonathan Martin reports: "Not at all."
"I don’t think that the Republican Party is going to choose a pro-choice, pro-gay civil union candidate to lead our party," Romney added.

So according to Romney, BOTH he and Guiliani are out . . . I hope this means the Tancredo has a chance.

The only thing "the" Tancredo has a chance for is to be fitted for one of those tight-fitting jackets that tie in the back.

Well, Richard, I know I've seen you on here before, though I can't remember what manner of person you are. I hope, of course, you're kidding.
Anyway, I think Robertson's endorsement will, in the end, work against Rudy and for Willard. The general vibe from the Evangelical community seems to be that they're moving away from the issues that have traditionally (well, for 30-odd years) been at the center of the their voting tendencies. The policital views of the Falwells and the Robertsons are dying off as quickly as they are.

Yeah... His description of the worst possible GOP nominee sounds like Mitt about two years ago. Amazing...

Yeah, I think this is bad for Robertson, but has little to no effect on the GOP race. I still can't see enough Evangelicals voting for Rudy.
It may, as per the NYT mag a few wks back, further the splintering of the Evangelical movement (a very good thing).

As an evangelical Christian Conservative, if the choice is between Hillary and Rudy, I will definitely vote for Rudy.
