This is just a pointless waste of time, considering that any reasonable use of the debates would most likely be covered under fair use. Their time would be better spent trying to get real questions asked, but apparently neither side wants that.

Any of you want to explain why a Harvard Univ. study just concluded that Fox had more coverage of conservatives than the other news networks BUT did not slant their stories toward them, whilst the others had far more coverage of favorable coverage of liberals?

When I see the 'FOX' watermark on the video screen, I assume it's either a freakish comment made by one of their staff freaks or TPM pointing out the latest freakish error, etc. broadcast as fact to the mouthbreathers. Thus, I can't imagine another appropriate use of Fox footage.

But it's good that it gives our side a chance to show how magnanimous we are: Go ahead wingnut freaks, you should be able to show whatever you want.

Now the challenge will be to determine if the actors playing candidates are really the candidate, and if the audio signal is a dub.

I really don't have time for that, so I'd prefer if they did restrict their TV shows.

Their purpose isn't to inform you. Let's not forget that corporations are loyal ONLY to profits and power, not people, not political parties, not nations.

Does anyone think that news organizations are bought and amalgamated because a board of directors and their shareholders are concerned about truth, honesty and fairness? They make business decisions, not moral ones. They will favour the cause that makes them wealthy.

I'm not saying to ignore them, but treat what they say as gossip, then get on the web and dig around for your own info to either verify or debunk what's been 'reported'.

This formula should be used especially in America where the 'military industrial complex' has become what Eisenhower warned about; and yes, the msm is a part of it.

Don't think the 'corporate government' is working in your interest. You can't be a top-tier politician or board chairman while being honest and moral; the two conflict.

That's just my opinion and I say it respectfully. No offense is intended. I care for the people of America; I can't say the same for its politicians and corporations, though.

However, that they're giving you their opinion on a news channel is disconcerting. Even worse, is that someone's politics influences how they conduct themselves as a debate mediator. That role MUST be unbiased. The purpose is to get you, the voter, the candidates' thoughts and ideas so that you can decide for yourself. If the question is slanted or framed by the mediators politics, you are provided with tainted information.

When did opinion become news anyway?
I just want facts and I'll form my own opinion. Isn't that part of being free?

News channels today are filled with pundits and hosts giving their opinion and spin. It's ridiculous. Why aren't you asked to give yours on tv? Are their beliefs more valid or important than yours?

Why even have citizens vote? Just let the pundits elect the President. Since they're telling you what you should think about a candidate, they may as well just tell you what they decide.

The election thing is a moot point anyways; it's already been decided who will be the next President. The only thing left to do is make you believe that he/she was elected by the people.

I know, I'm being cynical. I mean 2000 and 2004 were 'on the level' elections, weren't they?
