Poll: Hillary Leads In Michigan, Rudy And Romney Running Close
A new EPIC-MRA poll shows that Hillary Clinton has increased her lead over Barack Obama in Michigan, which is expected to hold its rogue primary on January 15, pending current litigation.
Clinton leads Obama 49%-18%, up from 40%-21% in a poll released September 1. John Edwards is at 15%, meaning that both Obama and Edwards would need to do well in Iowa and New Hampshire if they want a good result here. On the Republican side, it's a statistical dead heat between Rudy Giuliani at 28% and Mitt Romney with 25%, followed by Fred Thompson at 13% and John McCain at 12%.
The national GOP has stripped Michigan of half its delegates, and the Dems have taken away all the delegates, but a popular win here could still be crucial in generating momentum.
Late Update: As has been pointed out, only Hillary and Chris Dodd will appear on the Democratic ballot — so this primary probably won't count for much on the Dem side.

Holy Cow (that's Hindu, not Muslim)! Senator Clinton leads his fraudulency, O-Bomb-A by 49%-18%! Whew, this race is going to be so quick, we'll all wonder what that MSM B.S. over O-Bomb-A was all about!

Eric:
A win in Michigan is MEANINGLESS since all of the other candidates (save Dodd and Kucinich) aren't even on the ballot.

All bets are off in Michigan. The court of appeals just held that the January 15 primary is unconstitutional, so it will have to be moved back to the original date.

I met Mitt Romney in person tonight at the home of Steven and Sandra Covey.
He is humble, articulate, and has a solid vision for how to make America strong, beginning with the people, not the bureaucracy.
I want to be part of Mitt's America. A stronger military that is the ally of peace. A focus on families. A tough look at the budget. Reduced dependence on foreign oil. A better economy run by someone who has funded and helped build many of America's strongest companies.
It is true what they say about his haircut by the way. Worth all $200. I'll bet it wins him an extra 200,000 million votes in the primaries, and becomes the cheapest advertising the man has.

The elections in Michigan are very important, as it's more of a typical state with cities and such. Fewer professional politicians. The polls, of course are corrupt, until proven otherwise.

Since when does getting near-50% of the votes amount to "not counting for much"?

When no one else is on the ballot and the results won't impact the delegate count.

Romney is going to take Michigan (lets hope so!) just after taking Iowa and New Hampshire. He's the only one who can stop Carl Marks...er....Hillary Marks....er Clinton!
"I sit when I pee, vote for me" - Clinton's gender-card campaign slogan.

Hillary is ahead in Michigan in part because she thought we were important enough to stay on the ballot. The rest bailed because they were pandering to voters in the conservative states of Iowa and New Hampshire. I am very tired of having those states have an outsized impact.

Curious that Novak reports that
McCain will drop out of Iowa.
In state after state, McCain is the only Republican leading Clinton.

Michigan is meaningless, and it will be treated as such. The press will give it very little coverage, and it won't create any bounce or momentum.
