McCain: The Surge Has Already Succeeded

John McCain has staked his candidacy in large part on his support for the Iraq War, and he's not shy when it comes to talking about the subject — or using it to hit the Democrats. Having returned from his Thanksgiving trip to Iraq, McCain told a South Carolina audience that America has already succeeded with the surge, and added that the Dems are refusing to admit it.

"Today it is clear we have succeeded with this new strategy," said McCain. "The Democrats refuse to acknowledge that, they refuse to acknowledge the progress. They are willfully ignoring the facts on the ground in my view."

Does this even warrant a comment? Nope.

McCain is correct:

The homo-erotic named escalation broke Iraq forever.

The homo-erotic named escalation gave a talking point to the Administration to make a permanent occupation of Iraq acceptable.

The homo-erotic named escalation broke our military.

The homo-erotic named escalation ushering in a chance for the Administration to make publically acceptable a privatized army under the Security of State (Offically now, War is Peace).

Yep. McCain is correct; the homo-erotic named escalation suceeded at doing exacttly what the Administration desired it to do.

To the degree that the Surge (tm) has led to the publicly announced policy goal of political reconciliation in Iraq it is a failure.

To the degree the the Surge has led to the true but obscured and widely denied Administration policy goal of establishing permanent US military presence, which acts as the enforcer for a viceroy who will hand out sweetheart business deals for Bush cronies, it is a success.

It is good to see McCain admitting that he has been in on the conspiracy all along. In due time, he can go off to Hague with Bush et al., his true political masters.

Exactly what does McCain consider SUCCESS? The Surge was created to give the Iraqi government time to reconcile their differences. THEY HAVE NOT DONE THIS.

Yes violense is down - but what happens once those 30,000 troops are sent home?
