House Dems Aim For Huge Fundraising Advantage

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee is setting an ambitious fundraising target for its incumbent lawmakers — a whopping $154 million, more than four times the amount House Republicans are trying to raise.

Since the National Republican Congressional Committee is already lagging behind the DCCC in the money race, the new fundraising goal — if met — would give House Democrats a potentially overwhelming advantage in the 2008 congressional elections.

The GOP will nonetheless regain control of at least one House of Congress -- one of those seats will be Nancy Pelosi's -- you heard it here first.

A race by race analysis of the House situation also shows how much better off Dems are.

Sorry, Daniel, but not only are your predictions wrong, but they also result in "Error 404: NOT FOUND!"

No worries Democrats are still in a strong position to capture 5+ seats in the Senate. Check out these detailed Senate rankings.
And in better news for Dems, Anchorage Mayor Mike Beigish is taking a very hard look at the Alaska Senate race, which could make it a top-tier contest.

Jake,

Here's the link. Even my grade-schooler could figure that out.

Either your "link" is not working, or my computer isn't.

Jake - The day may come when San Francisco elects a Republican to Congress, but that day is a long ways off. And you didn't read it first here.....just look at the evidence.

Don:

I think you are misunderestimating Cindy Sheehan on that one -- I have a tee time I need to leave for soon -- but maybe tomorrow I will find some time to post evidence of the growing discontent out here on the Left Coast.

Normally, I don't feed the trolls but as a Bay area resident I find myself laughing at Jake D.'s comments. If you want to take out Nancy Pelosi, register as a Green and take her on in the general election - you might have a snowball's chance, and a much better chance than as a Republican in the general, or in the primary as a Democrat. There's a lot of old money in SanFran, and Pelosi is an integral part of it. I'm not saying I like it nor am I a big fan of Pelosi, but that's the current reality.
