Tancredo: Kick Anti-Fence Border Towns Out Of The Country
Tom Tancredo has pushed hard throughout his career for a fence along the Mexican border. Now that one has been enacted into law, though, actual construction has been thwarted by mayors along the Southern border who don't want the fence disrupting their communities and local commerce.
So Tancredo has an interesting solution: He would "build the border fence north of these communities."
"These mayors have already demonstrated that their hearts and loyalties lie with Mexico," Tancredo said. "Perhaps they'd feel more comfortable if their cities were geographically located there as well."
Is this a joke, or is he serious?

Is this a joke, or is he serious?
That's easy: Tancredo's serious, and Tancredo's a joke.

Oh, I really hope that he makes this a regular part of his campaign. Fun for days.

Whether his statement is a joke or not, he's a joke, a buffoon.
How 'bout this Tancredo, I say the only way we can get rid of the mafia is to deport or intern anyone with an Italian surname.

I didn't know Tom Tancredo could redraw US borders on his own, that's impressive. And building the fence directly north of those towns will really help enlist their citizens' and governments' help in ensuring that no one from "their side" gets through.
Maybe if they won't cooperate waterboarding would help?

Hooray!!! Tancredo News!
With the noted lack of Pink Sugar & Kurt Well-done, Tancredo is the single best example of the bat-dung crazy wing of the RNC - My favorite wing. McCain tries but Tancredo is always classic.
He NEEDS to be their candidate in the Fall. Give money. Call FAUX News and ask them to violate their "Fair & Balanced" rule to support the true conservative candidate, Tancredo.
I dream of a network carrying Tancredo news 24/7/365 and a quarter.

What fence, I thought they were talking about a 25 foot high wall with towers every 100 feet or so. Have to keep out those dirty mexicans, oh, I mean Islamo-fascists. National security and all.

So, if not a fence then how do we secure our borders? I'm not being sarcastic, it's just that I'd really like to hear an alternative. But all I've heard from our Democratic representatives is a lot of whining and hand wringing about the fence. How about some ideas, Nancy and Harry? The Repugs are getting their way with this ridiculous fence and you two, as usual, are standing by watching with a "deer in the headlights" expression.
How can they be so helpless as the majority when Bush has a 30% approval rating? The mind boggles!

Now hold on, everybody.
Maybe Tancredo's on to something here, but he just hasn't thought it all the way through. The whole idea behind the fence is to create a boundary between the people who want to make America great and the people who would see us deteriorate into a third world country. Where we put this fence will separate Americans from those who would destroy our freedoms, language, and way of life.
Just north of Amarillo oughta do it, don't you think?

I'm all for it. But why stop with border towns? I've been saying for years that we should sell the entire state of Texas back to Mexico, along with the Texas courts, the 5th circuit court of appeals, and the remainder of the Bush family.
And then we can deny entry to any Texicans who want to come back in.

hell you don't even need a fence. The president is secretly drawing up legislation that would expand the worker program -- all for the corporations need of cheap labor.
A fence is all for show to the wingnuts who think pressure on the administration will actually work. Didn't they know this unitary president will and does what he well pleases?.
But its a nice problem solve for Mexico's poor and letting their government off the hook.US Taxpayers subsidizing big agri-corpos low wages.
We get cheap onions for cheap labor for our efforts. Natch!

Maybe we can just put a fence around Tom Tancredo?

The whole "cheap labor" argument is a fallacy. Investing money in technology that eliminates the need for manual labor has shown, time-and-again, to be an effective way for America to stay competitive against cheap foreign imports. America cannot maintain its agricultural balance if it relies on cheap labor. It must innovate. However, the agri-corps would rather lean on the pool of cheap labor and only make the investment when they absolutely have to, which is short-sighted and will cost them (and us) more money in the long term.
Anyone who tries to defend the cheap labor stance is only hurting America's future agricultural prospects. What would you expect from a small-minded, short-sighted incompetent like Bush?

Quaker: north of Amarillo, just east of Atlanta (keep them on the inside! ) , and south of Baltimore. Mexico can have DC too.
Then we can build a new capital somewhere more sensible, like Lincoln, Nebraska.

Tancredo's screeds sound just like vintage Bay and Pat Buchanan. It ought to, because Bay is advising him.
In recent years, Pat has migrated just to the left of Atilla the Hun; but Bay is still an unreconstructed Neanderthal. This is where Tancredo is picking up his talking points.

This is confusing.
A presidential candidate from a major political party is advocating that we cede sovereign territory to a foreign country?
If he is serious about this, and if he had the power to make it policy, how would that not be treason?
And if he is not serious, can we all just agree that he is a clown?

Please Please let these communities go. They've been imprisoned in the empire for too long. Give them back to Mexico along with all the lands stolen.
Invite Tejas to secede (since Mexico and the U.S. don't want it).
