Romney Has Run 10,000 TV Ads
If anybody wonders how Mitt Romney can be doing so well in the key primary states but lagging nationally, wonder no more. A study by TNS Media Intelligence/CMAG finds that Romney has run a full 10,000 TV ads so far this cycle, the first candidate so far this year to break that milestone.
Obviously, the ads are running the most in all the right places — of the $8 million he's spent on TV, a majority of it has gone to Iowa and New Hampshire.

Something else to consider with that figure of ads run, is Romney's campaign 'donation' totals. His campaign has proudly touted the dollars he has received in campaign donations as his claim to elite status in the race. "Ive received x dollars, therefore I am one of the top candidates', and using it to move his campaign. In fact, based on reports the past couple of weeks, he has been, far and away, the top donor to his campaign, and after taking that money away, he quickly drops down through the second tier of candidates.

There's something I've wondered about Mitt Romney, but no one has picked it up: All of his 5 children are male. The odds of doing that naturally are vanishingly small: 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 = 3% !!
Did Mitt and his wife choose the sex of their children before birth? We all know Mitt has a graduate degree in Hypocrisy.

this might backfire-being assaulted by Mitt's pap every five minutes of every day for months could get to be pretty infuriating

That would be true if Romney were a human being . . . I would be willing to bet that like Barbie's Ken Mitt is smooth 'round the bend . . .

Sizing up to the population nationally, that's a potential of 750,000 ads.

The content of those ads is what worries me -- they're full of the same kinds of Rovian spin and half-truths we've had to endure since 2000. The Romney campaign has already marked itself out as the one that will do anything to win. With Romney's personal fortune thrown in, it's a troubling combination.
Case in point: The ad Romney uses when first entering a market is his pledge to cut "real non-defense spending" by 1%/year -- promising fiscal responsibility the Bush way, by taking defense spending off the books.
