A new SurveyUSA poll shows Hillary Clinton running a close race against the top four Republicans:

Clinton (D) 47%, Giuliani (R) 45%
Thompson (R) 47%, Clinton (D) 45%
Clinton (D) 50%, Romney (R) 41%

Clinton (D) 51%, Paul (R) 35%

President Bush easily carried Kentucky in both 2000 and 2004, but the state also voted for Bill Clinton twice.

Gore will never screw his party and run at this late date. He is a classier act than that.

Reporting his numbers only emboldens the corporate pollsters to continue their attempt to create a Democratic cage match.

Eric, how about the other leading democratic candidates? Are they not included in these polls? I'd be interested to see the results including other Democratic candidates, whatever the results. I would expect Hillary wins big in this sort of competition, but still, it looks a little silly to just include her results in these sorts of posts.

well, just looked myself, and it seems they aren't including any other democratic candidate in their polls. What the hell.

All hail the queen, WTF. Come on you guys, is mrs. bill's campaign funding your site???? I'm really beginning to wonder. Uh, what about gore, who is not even running, beating mr. 9/11 in kentucky, umm, what does that tell you. Isn't that more newsworthy? What about a spread? I bet the other front running dems exceed mrs. bill's numbers. What about that???? How about a headline that mrs. bill is a drag on a dem landslide and the other dems would crush any repuke????? I am tired of these rah, rah headlines for mrs. bill.

TPM Headline: "Hillary Running Close Against Republicans In Kentucky."

Michael,
That's what you call a "rah-rah" headline? Man, I was really looking for something interesting!

what the hell indeed.

hold your ears as the latest rasmussen poll in Iowa will be trumpeted on behalf of hillary--33-22-21(don't know how that would translate into delgates).

no one, and I mean no one in the msm, will say anything about the rasmussen national daily tracking poll----which has never shown a 30 point lead for hillary. The news you will not hear, but you can easily look up---is that Hillary's 27 point national lead from 3 days ago---is 19 today.

Weird election, indeed. Hillary in a dead heat in Kentucky and competitive in some blood red states but trailing badly in Nevada, Arizona and Colorado. And then she's in a dead heat with Rudy in CT and NJ. This election is pretty strange, alright.

Steve: "she's in a dead heat with Rudy in CT and NJ."

Not according to Rasmussen, at least for New Jersey. They have her leading Giuliani there by eleven points (51-40)
