Poll: Fletcher Down By 20, With Two Weeks To Go
With only two weeks to go until Election Day in Kentucky, a new SurveyUSA poll shows Governor Ernie Fletcher (R) on his way to a landslide defeat. Democratic candidate Steve Beshear is ahead of Fletcher by a 58%-38% margin.
This is statistically unchanged from a SurveyUSA poll two weeks ago, which had Beshear ahead 56%-40%. The incumbent has been consistently unable to exceed 40% in the polls since the May primary.

There is a reason, after all, why KY is first on these governor rankings, higher tahn Louisiana!

Let's use KY to predict a landslide for the Dems in 2008, just as the GOP did inaccurately with the Louisiana Gov and MA-05 House races

The Kentucky and the Louisiana gubernatorial races cannot be used as a barometer as stated above because the incumbents, Blanco in LA (did not run) and Fletcher in KY are extremely unpopular and it is a vote more against them rather than a vote against the parties.
