Perkins: Rudy Told Me He Would Back A Marriage Amendment
In his quest to win over (or at least tame) the social conservatives, Rudy Giuliani might be going so far as to accommodate on the Federal Marriage Amendment.
Tony Perkins, head of the Family Research Council, said to The Hill that Giuliani told him that if more states start legalizing gay marriage, he would then back a constitutional amendment to ban it.
Perkins said the assurance from Giuliani "was nice to hear." Curiously, Rudy did not mention this during his speech before the crowd, who would have received it very nicely.

Giuliani apparently realized he needs the Religious Right to win the primary and the general election. Fox News's poll this week showd Rudy could never win if the RR went third-party: he trails Clinton 10%, with the RR at 14%!

A lot of what Republicans will or won't do won't come out till after the November 2008 election. We've had a taste of that with the current administration.
Out with them all. They need to start honoring their religious beliefs they so value and preach about.

Rudy's gone public with this view, which he articulated at the Orlando debate tonight. It'll be interesting to see how this new spin will help Giuliani's outreach to evangelicals, especially in Iowa and South Carolina.

Geez - wonder how the gays who took him in when his last wife booted him out of Gracie Mansion feel about that. With all the real issues in this world is it really so important that politicians worry about how people get their rocks off?

Watched the Fake News Channels Republican Mass-debate from Florida last night. They are all running against HRC and the Democrat (fill in the blank).
All of them can not answer a question directly. All of them pander and sloganeer. All of them hate and fear freedom and human rights and dignity.
Ron Paul comes the closest to displaylng integrity and he is bat-shit crazy. Tancredo wears his heart of hate lack a badge of honor. Thompson seems suprised that people are listening to his dumb ass stump speeches and are asking questions about the stuff he says. McCain seemed almost lucid and sane . . . But only almost. Mitt lied about everything and obviously slept through his college economics courses. Rude-ee claims that a consitutional amendment is needed if activist judges . . . Well we all get the idea.
