Paul Campaign Rolls Out TV Ads

Ron Paul's new round of TV ads for New Hampshire have been unveiled.

Here's the first ad, featuring New Hampshirites talking about why they're for Paul:

And in the second ad, Paul speaks directly to the viewer and explains his views on ending the war and cutting federal spending:

It looks and feels to me that Ron Paul is going to do shockingly well in NH. I already see more Paul signs than any other for the GOP. And he now has $5 mil to toss around. That's A TON of campaign funds in NH.
I don't think him winning NH means he wins the Presidency, but it will be fun watching the GOP try to marginalize him in the coming weeks and months.
Every time they do, they further alienate libertarians from the Republican Party. Since the libertarians agree with the Dems on the voters' top topic -- Iraq -- Dems have the luxury of just staying above the fray.

For political junkie/leaf peeper/sports fanatics, right now New Hampshire is pretty much heaven.

I watched him on C-SPAN last night. He is running a campeign based on his convictions. This will appeal to a larger percentage of voters than the pros think if he can get his message out.

Paul has so many passionate followers, so why does the ad seem so canned and staged? He has tons of well informed libertarian media personalities that he could draw fromto put together a great ad.

Compare this with the Ned Lamont ads with his supporters. No comparison.

Pretty lame ad. Thankfully.

"He is running a campaign based on his convictions."

Yes he is. Unfortunately, those convictions include the elimination of Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and no federal healthcare programs whatsoever.

And he introduced his sparkling and sensitive anti-women's rights platform by actually sponsoring and bringing a bill to the House floor that defined that "life begins at conception" - which not only would eliminate a woman's right to safely and legally terminate a pregnancy in consultation with her doctor, it would make them both subject to murder charges if they continued to do what's been the law of the land for 30+ years.

Good luck, Ron. I do hope he does well in NH and further confounds the other Republican lightweights who are running and their pundicracy.

Ron Paul's position on Social Security is to apply savings from ending our overseas empire to make sure those on SS and those close to receiving SS get what was promised to them in dollars that can actually buy something. The young would be able to save for themselves with lower taxes. He has said that nobody will be thrown out in the street and that he can't do anything without congressional approval. He is one of the few running that actually understands and respects the primacy of congress.

The idea of SS with a trust fund has been a disaster. The trust fund is a cookie jar for the politicians. Put it on a pay-as-you-go basis.

Iraq is a bi-partisan war, and even Hillary has admitted that she would continue the occupation of Iraq until 2013. Not exactly a anti-war stance, and the 2 trillion dollars in debt to pay for the this stance won't keep any candidate above the fray, from either party. Expect a lot of misinformation though. Blogger credentials are going to be made and lost in this next Presidential election.

This is just bullshit:
"...even Hillary has admitted that she would continue the occupation of Iraq until 2013."

Asked if she would promise to get the troops out of Iraq by the end of her first term, she said she couldn't promise because she had no idea how badly Bush would fuck Iraq up between now and when she took office.

Quote:
"My GOAL is to get the troops out by then."
Hardly an "admission" that she would "continue the occupation of Iraq until 2013."
Why do trolls always have to lie?

Actually Anonymous,

If you'll back off from your virulent swearing for a moment, and working just from your quoted language.

"Asked if she would promise to get the troops out of Iraq by the end of her first term, she said ... Quote:
'My GOAL is to get the troops out by then.'"

Ummm, err oh never mind.
