Craig Files New Appeal
Larry Craig isn't giving up.
Craig's attorneys filed a notice today in Minnesota that they are appealing the decision by Hennepin County Judge Charles Porter to deny Craig's withdrawal of his guilty plea for disorderly conduct in a public men's room.
The short, four-page filing did not contain any argument for the appeal, but that should be forthcoming later.

Larry Craig should be expelled from the Senate. The GOP should not play with him. The Dems would probably protect him at all costs, but the Republicans must oust him.

On what grounds? What is the Senate procedure for expelling a member? Does Sen. Craig deserve due process in such a proceeding?
And why not Sen. Vitter for consorting with prostitutes? Or that crooked senator from Alaska for taking bribes?
Republican senators don't get to take Craig out behind the barn and shoot him. Any move to oust Craig will stir up even more negative publicity. Poor, poor GOP senators!

The republicans can and should strip him of his comittee assignments, BUT THEY WONT DO THAT.
Hissy fits are the only way to describe this mans attempts to escape justice.
poor poor Larry, its not the toe tapping or the clearly gay cruising for sex hand motions that will hang him if he gets his plea deal guilty verdict lifted, its the peeping through the cracks of the door of a locked bathroom stall that will be used to hang his ass.
THATS RIGHT IF HE GETS HIS GUILTY PLEA LIFTED HE FACES THE ORIGINAL CHARGES
There is no defence he can offer for just not going into a stall and taking care of the business that bathrooms are generally understood to be used for.
empty stall after empty stall AFTER EMPTY STALL after passing three other clearly marked bathrooms in the opposite direction from his connecting flight...
And he presses his nose up against the crack of an occupied stall with a man in it: YEP all those other empty stalls and he just has to see who is in the locked one spending more than a second deciding it was not a muslim terrorist (he is after all terrified of muslims of the terrorist kind), then add the several hundred seconds he pent peeping another man in a locked stall.....
GO AWAY LARRY, THE JIG IS UP.... and the JIG anit interested in your boney ass any way any how what so ever.

Steve: Hmm.. The Democrats might, but it's really hard to tell since you don't see much of this in the Democratic party. With the Republicans, it's getting easier to predict their response, as for some reason, there is surprisingly high number of Republicans who are being exposed as hypocritical, closeted homosexuals or pedophiles. Seems like the more you rail on against gay people and the more you claim he moral high ground, the more likely it is that YOU are gay, eh?
But you're right, this is killing the Republicans. They are so power mad that anyone who threatens their pursuit of power must be crucified and expelled.

Shii, some time reading some Allen Drury novels would help you understand senate and house procedures and is a lot more enjoyable than studing the rules of those chambers (trust me I have studied them and about half of it is BOOOORING drival and useless in really understanding the basics about the workings of the house or the senate--please do not take this as some kind of rebuke or slam.
Democrats could only vote to expel censor or rebuke, but only HIS party can strip him of his positions on the assigned comittees as those are republican posistions and not the democrats, the dems in the House stripped YOU know who of his comittee assignments, republicans always have a problem with things like that as they fear such actions will cause a member to break away and possibly begin TALKING ABOUT DIRTY LITTLE AND BIG SECRETS and EXPOSING SUCH about his breathren in retaliation.
SHOWS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THOSE WHO BELIEVE AND SUPPORT THE RULE OF LAW and those whose political idealogy includes the principals that wealth equates to power equate to privledges that supercede the law and should be respected and privledged soley for having wealth and/or positions of authority and power.
so having a democratic congress only goes so far, AND it would help get to that 60 VOTE threshold that repugathugs threatened to take away from the then minority democrats (refered to as the senate nuclear option-remember hearing about that a short couple of years ago?) if republicans are shown to be incapable of policing thier own and that the culture of corruption AND perversion is still the dominate force controlling the republican party.
HANG IN THERE LARRY AND HELP GIVE DEMOCRATS AN ASSAILABLE MAJORITY IN 08.
Oh and if Craig gets his Guilty Plea Deal withdrawn then the dems can act as his original charges would then be reinstated and those are charges which can be used by the dems to move in the best interests of the senate and remove him. expel him whatever and the alien mothership controlling the republicans will explode in orbit. So, seriously... why doesn't he just stay out of the limelight and take a nice comfy corporate board spot and live out the rest of his bathroom stroking days in peace? Imagine if he showed this much indecision in everyday life.... hmmmm
