Career Military Guy To Challenge Jack Murtha
His name is William Russell, and he's a Republican and career military man, reports the Tribune-Democrat of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
Given that Murtha has a history of larding his district with the fattiest pork out there, that the district is dominated by Democrats, and that Murtha's new challenger's primary issue is arguing in favor of the Iraq War, it's safe to assume that DCCC chair Chris Van Hollen isn't too worried about this one.

I was hoping it was a Dem primary challenger, which would do Murtha some good. Mark my words, it's guys like him who will eventually bring the Dem majority down.

Like Bob, when I first saw the headline I went "Yea!" thinking it was a Democratic challenger. Murtha is a Duke Cunningham waiting to happen. He takes a whole lot of money from a whole lot of bad guys and delivers votes for them by doling the money out to other House members, buying their loyalty/complicity. Please, some Democrat with integrity, challenge this man!
